New Haven advanced to the Final Four of the Class 2 state tournament last season while St. James won a district championship in Class 4 to follow up on their Final Four appearance in 2022. Union and Owensville will field strong teams that are led by head coaches who were very successful with boys teams and are now on the girls' side. Union is led by second-year coach Brian Karvinen, who had a very good run with the boys at Confluence. John Van Leer takes over the girls program at Owensville. He had a very successful run with the boys at Pacific.
