It should be another good year for the league as John Burroughs figures to be one of the top contenders in Class 5. Lutheran South is another team that returns an excellent nucleus. Westminster and MICDS are always solid while Principia is a team that is on the rise with some impressive newcomers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>STARTING FIVE</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Allie Turner (John Burroughs): The 5'8" 2024 point guard is one of the most talented floor generals in the state. She can control a game with her scoring and overall playmaking. The Gonzaga commit averaged 16.3 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals a game as a junior.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Monet Witherspoon (John Burroughs): A 5'8" 2024 guard who is an excellent two-way performer with a high basketball IQ. As a junior, she averaged 11.6 points and four rebounds a game while playing stellar defense. She has received scholarship offers from Division I and Division II schools.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ellie Buscher (Lutheran South): A 5'11" 2024 forward who is a formidable inside player. As a junior, she averaged 15 points and 11.5 rebounds in leading the Lancers to a 19-9 record.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>BreAunna Ward (John Burroughs): A 5'10" 2025 guard who is a strong two-way performer with her athleticism and high motor. She is an excellent slasher on offense and she is capable of guarding multiple positions on defense.
