Continue ReadingThe Underclassmen at the Thanksgiving Classic were really talented and a few of them were on a different level. We’ve already covered a few of the Freshman and Sohopmores, but there are more to talk about. In this article we list more standouts from the 2026, 2027, and 2028 classes.
Kendall Perry Kendall Perry 5’8″ | PG Dr Phillips | 2026 State FL (2026) came as advertised and was one smooth and talented prospect. Perry can shoot the three, take it to the rim with authority, and still keep the same calm demeanor. She didn’t force the action and just let the game come to her. She is a high IQ player on the court who makes the right plays. She makes plays for herself and also sets up her teammates as well.
Jasleen Green Jasleen Green 5’9″ | SF American Heritage (Plantation) | 2026 State FL was in the building and the versatile Green had a lot of tools in the tool bag. She can handle the ball well, runs the floor well, and shoots it well from anywhere on the floor, including buzzer beaters from half court.
Evelyn Freeman Evelyn Freeman 5’8″ | PG Bolles | 2026 State FL (2026) played well at the Thanksgiving Classic, averaging over 7 points per game, dishing out tons of assists, and pulling down over 5 rebounds per game from the guard position. She even had 10 rebounds in one of the games this week. In another game, Freeman posted 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Freeman is super fast with the ball in her hand and often blows by defenders to get to the rim. A lot of times she blows by defenders and draws an extra defender. What comes next is usually an assist to her deadly shooters on the perimeter or a dish to one of her bigs. Don’t be surprised if the super fast Freeman leads the district in assists. Freeman is also active on the defensive end and is disruptive.
Arianna Robinson Arianna Robinson 5’4″ | CG Miami Country Day | 2028 FL (2028), the young 8th grader ran the point for Miami Country Day and was really impressive. She has speed, athleticism, poise, and a high basketball IQ. She has the ability to drive and score in the paint. Robinson also plays good on-ball defense.
Mia Chandler Mia Chandler 6’0″ | PF Mandarin | 2026 State FL (2026) had an overall impressive outing at the Thanksgiving Classic, knocking down 7 points and picking up 4 steals. Chandler also defended the middle of the paint well. The Sophomore runs the floor well and is faster than most guards up and down the floor.
Leila Goll Leila Goll 5’8″ | SG Bolles | 2026 State FL (2026) is another young guard who looked good out on the court during the tournament. Goll is known already for her three point shooter, but her defense is what stood out during the Thanksgiving Classic. She is not afraid to mix it up on the ball court. She has good quickness and plays an in your face style of defense. Goll is that player who gives you an indication of what the Lady Dogs are going to be for the next few years -LOADED.
Jordyn Knight (2027) got after it at the tournament and was impressive with her ability and desire to attack the rim. She has a constant motor on both ends of the floor. She has the ability to draw fouls and get to the freethrow line. The young baller recently scored 23 points and pulled down 10 rebounds from the guard position. She also had 8 steals, showing what she can do on the defensive end.
