Prep Girls Hoops Missouri continues its preseason preseason previews with a look at the SEMO Conference. Setting the pace again will be Cape Notre Dame, which advanced to the Final Four of the Class 5 state tournament last season. Jackson will also field a very competitive team at the Class 6 level. The conference is full of talented young players.

THE STARTING FIVE

Kate Rubel Kate Rubel 6'0" | SG Cape Notre Dame | 2026 State MO (Cape Notre Dame): A 6’0 2026 guard who has the height and versatility to play anywhere on the floor. She was a major part of Notre Dame’s run to the Class 5 Final Four.

Nevaeh Lucious Nevaeh Lucious 6'2" | PF Cape Notre Dame | 2026 State MO (Cape Notre Dame): A 6’2 2026 post player who is one of the top young frontcourt players in the state. She has already received multiple Division I scholarship offers.

Brie Rubel Brie Rubel 5'9" | PG Cape Notre Dame | 2026 State MO (Cape Notre Dame): A 5’8 2026 point guard who excelled on Notre Dame’s Final Four team with her playmaking and perimeter shooting.

Evie Caruso (Saxony Lutheran): A 6’1 2024 forward who can operate inside or knock down 3-pointers. She averaged 10 points, six rebounds and nearly three blocks as a junior.

Landri Hammontree Landri Hammontree 5'3" | SG Sikeston | 2025 State MO (Sikeston): A 5’2 2025 point guard who was one of the league’s leading scorers last season. She averaged 20 points a game while shooting 43 percent from 3-point range.
