SubscribeFor many high school athletes, the pinnacle of your athletic career will be their senior. This is their moment to shine. Whether or not they are a role player or a star; 3rd leading score or 6th man; this is a season they will forever remember. Here are some players you should know.
Fritz has long been under the radar, as she’s been lighting it up for Kingston since she was a sophomore. This unheralded combo guard has a really nice and diverse offensive package. She’s not just a 3 pt threat anymore…now she’s making plays off the bounce too. Look forward to seeing what her senior season looks like.

With a 6’3 frame, Baker possesses game-changing size in the middle, and is a defensive anchor for Barrett’s scheme. After battling injuries for much of last season, Baker is back fully healthy. Defensively, she’s a game changer from the tip. It’s not just her ability to block shots, but she alters shot, and simply deters them from occurring. She owns the paint, and takes pride on this side of the ball. She’s also a high level rebounder, and fast break starter.
Offensively, she’s developed a nice baby hook that simply cannot be stopped because of her length. She apt at burying defenders deep and simply scoring over them.
I just don’t think enough people understand how could Dunbar is, as she’s already committed to Michigan. If you’re a hoophead, watch her play…..just listen to her play….and you’ll see why college coaches love her. She’s non stop motor, energy, enthusiasm.
Offensively, she’s great in the pick n’roll action, possessing nimble feet, soft hands, and nice tough. Shoots an incredibly high percentage, unleashing a bevy of counter moves to score the basketball. Has a nice jumper she will shoot from the elbows and short corners. She has good hands and anticipates well, making it easy for her to get offensive boards. Defensively, she’s a shot blocker, great communicator, and big contributor on the boards. Huge defensive presence, and really competes on both ends.
Perhaps the most unheralded senior for this Blackman team, she is the glue the binds the core, and she sets the tone as a defensive nightmare. Plays with an un matched intensity. She wins 50/50 balls, and battle on the glass. She will win the “games within the game” on D. Can lock down the other teams best player.
Offensively, she’s at her best around the 15ft mark. She’s a high IQ offensive player that doesn’t force the action. Fits perfectly with her squad.
I really enjoy watching this girl go, and I think Auburn University Montgomery got a steal! Defensively, she’s one of the most switchable and versatile wings in the state. Really can guard on the ball, and great instincts off the ball. Wins 50/50s. Battle for extra possessions. Great intangibles, and a love for defending with passion.
Has a college-ready offensive game where she can score on all 3 levels. Has really turned herself into a reliable scorer. Could have a HUGE year.
