This roster included several multiple-sport athletes who are also coming off a successful volleyball season. The Rams faithful hope that experience in winning pays off heading into a new basketball campaign.
Here is a preview of prospects on the Pleasant Ridge roster.
Mia Ernzen Mia Ernzen 5'10" | PF Pleasant Ridge | 2024 KS , 5’10”, PF, ‘24
Ernzen is a beast in the paint and scores well in transition. As a junior, the Rams’ power forward led the team in scoring 8.4 points per game. She was also the team’s leading rebounder snatching 7.2 boards per contest. She has a big reach and can get to the free-throw line. Ernzen was also an accomplished middle hitter on the volleyball squad.
Maddie Heim, 5’5” PG, ‘24
Heim is a point guard who can distribute the ball or score it herself. She was second on the team in scoring as a junior with 7.2 points per game. She also averaged just over two assists per game, a number she will look to increase in her senior season. She is quick and moves well, I saw her play libero for the Rams’ netters this fall.
Isabela Major, 5’10”, SG, ‘25
Major arguably might be the most athletic kid walking the high school halls in Easton. She can really jump and she is sneaky quick. She has a solid combination of size and speed. She averaged 6.6 points per game as a sophomore. She plays outside hitter for the Rams when the volleyball nets are on the court.
Ava Potter, 6’0”, G/F,’24
Potter has the versatility to play multiple positions on the court. She averaged 6.3 rebounds per game as a junior, good for second on the team. Potter can also score averaging 5.9 points per game. She is best when she can get out in transition and run the floor.
Emma Murphy, 6’0”, G/F,’24
Murphy has committed to play volleyball for the University of Saint Mary, in Leavenworth, but she also shines on the basketball court. She played in every game her junior season and averaged 3.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. She gives the Rams a second solid inside scoring threat paired with Ernzen.
Other athletes to watch on this roster include seniors Kelsi Ko, Josie Sloan, and Rileigh Cox.
