We already know Betts can take over a game at any point. She is unstoppable when she gets into the low post, not only because of her scoring but also with how well she can see the floor. Finding teammates and getting them easy looks is a skill of hers that is very underrated and that is coming from a player that can score when she wants to. Over the summer, the UCLA commit was able to take her game to another level by dominating the Adidas Circuit and coming back with a National Championship.
Tianna continues to be one of the best on-ball defenders in the state, she takes pride and not being scored on. Every game she steps on the floor she is willing to defend the opposing team’s best player, all while still being a go-to option on offense. Over the last two years, Tianna has taken huge strides in the point guard department. She is now able to control the game without scoring, which makes her even more of threat offensively. Coming into the year she will needs to put it all together in order to lead her team to the Coliseum.
Alexandra is as persistent as they come and her game seems to grow much more than anyone could’ve imagined over the last year. She is consistent at all 3 levels of the floor and has gotten a lot better at attacking defenders well in transition. Defensively she has become a player who uses her length and strength to force you into tight spaces in the half-court which creates turnovers and run outs for guards. With the start of the season, Alexandra looks primed and ready to lead Peak to Peak to deep into the post season.
As junior year approaches Brooklyn has broken out of her shell and has become one of the best players in the state regardless of class. At 6’3 she has the handle and IQ to dribble the ball up and initiate the offense in transition. She is also great at finding holes in the defense and exploiting them for easy baskets at the rim or on the wing. On the court, she is a natural leader and can be seen talking teammates through any situation.
Gianna’s game has transformed so much over the last year that if you haven’t seen her recently you’ve been missing out. She is a dynamic scoring guard who can put the ball in the hoop in a variety of ways. Gianna keeps defenders off balance with her quick first step, putting pressure on defense allowing her to read and react to the defense. In doing so she is able find shooters on the wing for uncontested jumpers.
