Balanced Attack:
The Orangeburg Prep Lady Indians are led by longtime Head Coach Jan Stoudemire who currently has over 725 career wins. The Lady Indians will be a player in SCISA Class 3A this season despite Hilton Head Christian looking to win its 5th straight championship overall. Any given night for the Lady Indians a different player can step-up and lead the way in the scorer’s column. The Lady Indians execute while sharing the rock and moving the ball around the floor. They play from beginning to end until the final whistle blows at all times.
Lady Lions Off to Strong Start:
Augusta Christian (Martinez, GA) play in the SCISA Class 4A ranks. Prep Girls Hoops recognizes the Lady Lions players in the State of Georgia since the school is located there. The Lady Lions are off to a (8-1) start this season and led by a few seniors in Ryley Jolly and Kaylee Jackson Kaylee Jackson 5'6" | SG Augusta Christian | 2024 GA . Jolly plays the point guard and really looks to attack the cup. Jackson is a specialist from behind the three-point line.
The Lady Lions added some frontcourt help this season in Taylor Booker and Avery Schwarz. Booker just a freshman moves very well around the floor. Taylor is very long and agile up and down the court. Schwarz moved into the area from Elmhurst, IL this past summer. Avery brings good versality to handling the rock up the floor and rebounding on both ends of the court. Schwarz plays the game very vocal while on the floor. This Lady Lions squad will surprise some teams on a given night.
Lady Eagles Look to Learn to Fly:
Florence Christian and Head Coach Neil Minton will be in a learning process this coming season. The future lies on freshman guard Emerson Poston Emerson Poston 5'4" | PG Florence Christian | 2027 State SC . Poston will look to have to carry the load this season for the Lady Eagles program. Poston has a good feel for the game and some crafty passing skills for her young age.
