This victory marks the first time in quite some time that they have started their season 6-0, under the leadership of their new coach, Rachel Karamol. Let’s take a look at some players that stood out to me tonight!

Coach Karamol must be thrilled about the present and the future with Faith, the younger sister of Grace and a transfer from Missouri, being a sophomore. Faith’s shooting skills are exceptional, and she plays with maturity beyond her years. On the defensive end, she always positions herself correctly. I am excited to watch her over the next three years!
Peck is a player that every coach wants on their team! She is giving 110% all the time, making hustle play after hustle play. She is poised under pressure and takes care of the ball. She is an intense on-ball defender and can knock down shots well beyond the arc.

Scheuneman is a versatile player who contributes to her team in various ways. She excels at protecting the rim and was able to collect several blocks during the game. In addition to this, she had successful finishes close to the basket, hit a mid-range jumper, and even made a three-pointer. She also puts in a lot of effort to grab rebounds, using her length and athleticism to her advantage.
Ashbaugh is a versatile player who can effectively use her strength inside the lane, while also exhibiting good ball-handling and shooting skills from the outside. The Cornerstone University commit does a great job of getting her teammates involved to help her team be successful. They started the season 4-0, and you can expect more wins to come.
Isabella Welch
Isabella Welch
Welch did an outstanding job of running the point for Grant. She made excellent decisions with the ball, and when she didn’t have it in her hands, she was losing her defender for easy baskets. She also had some steals and used her speed to push the ball up the court for some transition baskets. Her ball-handling skills are superb, and she is very crafty with the ball.
