Heiden has been one of the top recruits in the state of Oregon for several years now, and is currently in the top 40 recruits in the whole country. She is committed to play at basketball powerhouse Iowa next year and for good reason. Injured during her junior season, the 6’4 Heiden is an insane athlete with incredible hands, making her a dominant force offensively with her elite finishing ability, defensively with her presence in the paint, and on the glass on both ends of the floor. Clearly, a player of her caliber checks just about every box on the list of things you want from a post, and although the Bowmen are off to a slow start this preseason, they will be a constant danger to keep an eye on with Heiden on the floor.
Another beast down low, Ceron has been a huge factor in South Medford’s success over the past few seasons. She may play more down low for the Panthers, but don’t be fooled, Ceron has the athleticism and quickness of a guard. She could play anywhere on the floor that you ask her to. Her 6’1 frame does not even do her justice as her incredible length is extremely difficult for other teams to match up against. She put in two big performances in the Panthers’ games down in California, putting up 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks against Sage Hill and 17 points, 5 assists, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals to help secure the win versus Orangewood Academy. Ceron signed last month to play at Menlo College which is a huge pick up for them as Ceron will be a massive asset at any position.
Addyson Clark
Addyson Clark
Clark is an absolute stud for Sutherlin who is proving to be a nightmare for her 3A opponents. At the Queens of the Court Invitational last week, she had a career-high 23 points, 2 assists, and 4 rebounds in the opening game against Mannahouse Academy and 22 points and 6 rebounds in the win over Westside Christian for the championship. She followed that up with 18 points — including two shots from outside — in the win over Riverdale/Riverside. Clark, being the type of baller that she is, is another player who can do anything you ask of her, whether it’s going to work on the inside or pushing the ball in transition and finding her teammates. As one of the top players in 3A, she will be a name that we continue to hear throughout the year.

As only a freshman, Pepperling is already starting to shine as one of the rising stars in the paint. She had 12 points, 9 rebounds, 6 steals, 1 block against North Eugene and then 11 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in the game versus Thurston. She has the makings to become a double-double machine over the course of the next four years. She runs the floor incredibly well and is also a beast in their full court press where she anticipates incredible well and creates numerous steals for the Warriors. As the lone freshman on the roster, she it will be very exciting to watch Pepperling’s growth and development in the future.
Caileigh Raines
Caileigh Raines
Speaking of double-double machines, Raines has been exactly that so far in this 2023-24 season, sometimes even nearing that triple-double mark. She had incredible nights with 26 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in the win over Century and 22 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block in the close win over Lebanon. These are precisely the kind of productive nights in every category that North Medford expects from Raines every night. She is a relentless rebounder as can be seen by her numbers who has a great nose for the ball, she has great finesse around the rim, and she also has a nice outside shot that she is not afraid to step up and knock down when the Black Tornado need her to. Raines is on track to have a huge junior year if she keeps this up.
