Games to Watch this Week

The two teams from southwest Missouri are off to hot starts. Aurora sits at 4-0 and Bolivar sits at 3-0. Aurora has been winning in dominant fashion. They start fast on both ends and score a lot of points averaging better than 70 PPG as a team. These are two of the better large schools in their region.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Ash Grove vs. Diamond (December 5th)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another game of teams with outstanding records. Diamond (4-0) is led by their stellar guard [player_tooltip player_id='645079' first='Grace' last='Frazier']. Ash Grove is starting out the 2023 season well at 4-1 and making a deep run in the Morrisville tournament. These appear to be two of the better teams in Class 2 and 3.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Grain Valley vs. Hickman (December 8th)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A power matchup in Class 6. Grain Valley is playing an excellent brand of team basketball and will travel to Columbia for the Norm Stewart Classic to face local power Hickman. The Kewpies have one of the top duos in 2025 in [player_tooltip player_id='303297' first='Jayla' last='Griffith'] and Sy'rae Stemmons. A game with great contrast. Grain Valley can take a methodical approach whereas Hickman takes advantage of the transition game.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Rock Bridge vs. Park Hill South (December 9th)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is without a doubt the game of the week. The two Class 6 powerhouses will clash in Mizzou Arena for a rematch of last year's playoff game. [player_tooltip player_id='351752' first='Jayda' last='Porter'] and [player_tooltip player_id='317337' first='Addison' last='Bjorn'] are the top players in 2026 and constantly battling for the top spot. Each has a number of great role players and teammates that help. This game will be one that features a handful of college prospects and brings excitement to fans in the area.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
