Jordan Hunter Jordan Hunter 5’10” | C Hewitt-Trussville | 2024 State AL , one of the consensus best players in the state, flexed her muscles against MJ on Tuesday night. Hunter finished with 19 points and 5 boards. Hunter set the tone from the jump. Hunter was aggressive, but not overly aggressive, and she was efficient. Hunter controlled the pace of the entire game.
Ashlyn Howard Ashlyn Howard 6’1″ | PF Hewitt-Trussville | 2025 AL pitched in right alongside Hunter. Howard finished the game with 10 points, and 4 boards. Howard constantly made the right play. It may not have resulted directly onto the stat sheet, but Howards impact on the game was definitely felt.
Ryleigh Martin Ryleigh Martin 5’5″ Hewitt Trussville | 2027 AL did a phenomenal job giving some really elite MJ guards fits. Martin scored 9 points, but her biggest contribution was easily on the defensive end. Martin had 5 steals, and made things really tough for MJ to get things going offensively.
Kendra Davis Kendra Davis 5’5″ | CG Mortimer Jordan | 2025 State AL was arguably the most all around effective blue devil against Hewitt-Trussville. Davis got to the rim a few times, and did the best job of handling Hewitt’s pressure. Unfortunately, MJ was just completely outmatched this time around.
Corrine Barnett Corrine Barnett 5’8″ | SG Mortimer Jordan | 2025 AL stayed composed in MJ’s tough loss to Hewitt. Barnett continued to hustle and be a leader out on the floor even once MJ began to go down big. Things weren’t going great for MJ, but Barnett was a constant competitor.
