East Kentwood looked outstanding in their win against Kalamazoo Central and Eubanks was a key part of the team’s success. She almost messed around and got a triple-double, finishing with 15 points, 9 steals and 7 rebounds. Either way, she’s played herself into a ranking at the next update. Eubanks played at a fast pace and turned defense into offense.
Jones was her electric self in Romulus’ win against Port Huron Northern. She showed offensive versatility, connecting o triples well beyond the arc but also putting a defender on her hip and finishing a physical drive off 2 feet. Jones showed the ability to pick up and defend early and positioned herself well when trapping at half court.

Port Huron Northern stayed within striking range for much of the game and Nichols was a big part of that. She handled the ball well and really attacked the rim and the defense in general in the second half. She showed off a pretty crossover move and the ability to finish on the right side. Nichols showed 3 point range on her jumper and also used the bounce pass well in traffic.
In a much anticipated matchup between Arbor Prep and Wendell Phillips, it was Utomi that led the way to an Arbor Prep victory. She was the athlete that set the tone, scoring early and often. Utomi was able to use her strength and physicality on the glass and made key contributions defensively.
In a hard fought loss to a talented Arbor Prep squad, the star guard from Wendell Phillips proved to be one of the most explosive players that hit the floor in Romulus. Sephus scorched the nets with a handful of triples. They were BIG shots as well. She put her team right back in the game after a slow start.
As the season moves along, Wozniak will get more comfortable and more explosive, and that’s scary for the competition. As for yesterday, she brought a fire off the bench. Wozniak played with energy and intensity. That grit translated into buckets. She showed her shooting prowess from behind the arc as well as touch from mid range.
