In a much anticipated matchup between Arbor Prep and Wendell Phillips, it was Utomi that led the way to an Arbor Prep victory. She was the athlete that set the tone, scoring early and often. Utomi was able to use her strength and physicality on the glass and made key contributions defensively.

Her toughness was evident as she clearly played through lingering discomfort during the game. Stacy led the charge in a victorious effort for Arbor Prep in all aspects of the game.

She finished countless drives at the rim, using eurosteps to gain the advantage in the paint. Stacy created extra opportunities for points on offense by physically imposing her will on the boards. Her scoring, rebounding, and defense helped lead the Gators to an impressive win Saturday.

Utomi is an elite wing defender that utilizes contact well. She can attack the rim with both power and fluidity. With her skills and strength, Utomi could be an immediate influence at the next level.

Utomi was excellent on the defensive end for Arbor Prep last season, and probably seasons before that. She was so high energy and active when playing defense. Utomi appeared to be everywhere on the court defensively. That was until you realized that it didn’t just seem that way, but it WAS that way. Utomi can literally cover the entire floor and anywhere on the floor.

Utomi played with physicality and proved to be a tremendous leader for a talented and very successful team.

Utomi is such a special talent and it was on display in the game against Romulus. She goes so strong to her right that it’s tough for even a defender in good position to stop her. Her drives weren’t just strong that night, they were smooth as well. Utomi even showed the ability to manipulate a matchup and play with her back to the basket, which resulted in a spin move and a bucket. She was aggressive on defense forcing multiple turnovers and pushing the tempo off of them. Utomi went coast to coast multiple time off of steals.

Utomi was key in her team’s big win on Saturday. She showed versatility in her game, defending all over the floor. Stacy scored 15 points in the game, but that was just the beginning of her contributions.

Stacey Utomi and her defense was a problem through the entire game. She was so disruptive and really just seemed to be everywhere on defense. Utomi made it really difficult for the opposing team to set the ball and get into their offense.

Utomi is an incredibly skilled basketball player, but watch her play, and it will be her toughness that shines through. She’s a ballhawk when a shot goes off the rim.
