Lawrence’s Azura Clark Azura Clark 5'9" | SF Lawrence | 2024 State KS heads a group of 28 debuters. The top ten was released earlier. Now get to know the next nine, all drawn from 1A – 4A classifications.
Kinley Stones Kinley Stones CG Jefferson West | 2024 State KS , CG, Jefferson West – Debuting at #183 Stones is a returning Big 7 honorable mention selection. She is quick with the ball. lithe and athletic to twist through defenders for a scoop, and finishes well or pulls up for the short jumper in transition. She also has good interior vision to drop dimes, kick out to a shooter, and otherwise make the quick yet soft pass.
Tessa Lohse Tessa Lohse 5'8" | CG Hanover | 2024 State KS , 5’8″, CG, Hanover – Debuting at #184, Lohse was a Varsity Kansas 1A Division II honorable mention selection in 2023. As part of the defending state champions Lohse enters 2024 looking to build on shooting 37% from beyond the arc with 41 made.
Clara Johnson Clara Johnson 5'10" | PG Jefferson County North | 2024 State KS , 5’10”, PG, Jefferson County North – The athletic, lengthy Johnson debuts at #185. She handles and finishes at speed and shoots the ball with range. Good length, athleticism and can handle and finish at speed. Shoot the ball with range.
Mariah Herrera Mariah Herrera 5'3" | PG Tonganoxie | 2024 State KS , 5’3″, PG, Tonganoxie – Herrera’s 16 points and 10 rebounds in a season opening loss to Paola put her abilities on display. Debuting at #188 she shoots the three with elevation, scores with athleticism, and is strong at attacking closeouts.
Rylie Meinhardt Rylie Meinhardt 5'9" | SF Wamego | 2024 State KS , 5’9″, SF, Wamego – Meinhardt debuts at #192 but there is seriously potential to climb significantly come the March update. Length and quickness are physical attributes her talents to see the ball well defensively and on the glass, catch well, and finish on the move build well on.
Kaci Meseke Kaci Meseke 5'8" | SG Wabaunsee | 2024 State KS , 5’8″, SG, Wabaunsee – Meseke is a solidly built perimeter threat who can shoot off the catch and the dribble. A two-time Mid-East League honorable mention selection, she debuts at #194 after averaging 10.6 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.7 steals in 2023.
Kalyse Abernathy Kalyse Abernathy 5'9" | PF Nickerson | 2024 State KS , 5’9″, PF, Nickerson – Entering at #195 Abernathy has been a fixture inside for the Panthers for a couple years. A returning Central Kansas League honorable mention selection she led all scorers with 17 points in an opening night loss to Buhler. While I would like to see her squeeze the ball better off a rebound she shows good hands catching to score and snagging the rebound to begin with. One controlled, her experience shows in her ability to clear the rebound and finding her ball handlers. Defensively her reach and solid build are put to good use competing for spots inside and defending potential entry passes. With the ball inside she is an effective scorer.
Eva Malm Eva Malm 5'7" | SG Smoky Valley | 2024 State KS , 5’7″, SG, Smoky Valley – Malm has emerged as a reliable perimeter shooter with range. Debuting at #199 she has solid size to absorb contact on scoring opportunities around the basket and when defended one-on-one.
Keira Jones Keira Jones 5'11" | SF Chapman | 2024 State KS , 5’11”, SF, Chapman – Jones is a returning North Central Kansas League first team selection debuting at #201. A strong rebounder, she pulled down 8.2 per contest in 2023 while scoring at a 10.9 per game clip.
