Avery Miller Avery Miller 5'7" | PG Waunakee | 2025 WI
Good guard play off the bench is uncommon, and having a kid who can come in and push the tempo or slow it down. She plays under control and can create some offense on the perimeter or go downhill in small doses. I also love the fact she can be a part of offensive and defensive units that can make solid 8-0 or 10-0 runs while being a significant part of those lineups. Miller is a kid I’d trust for extended stretches making decisions with the ball.
Zhana Gnewuch
The talent is there. Gnewuch could be an All-Conference level kid. Not many kids can create the quality of shot she can off the dribble. Once those shots start falling, Edgewood would have one of the top underclass backcourts in Wisconsin. She’s a tough-shot taker and has made those in different places I’ve seen her play. She understands where her shots are coming from and doesn’t seem bothered by shot contests much, but that’s still an area where she can improve. The outline of an elite scorer is there. It’s whether Gnewuch will figure out how to fulfill her potential.
Jada Kelliher
Kids who know their role and understand where their shots come from and where their defensive responsibilities lay are usually playing north of 28 minutes per game. Kelliher was a crucial part of why DeForest ran away from Milton in their early season Badger-Large game. She ran the floor, made open shots, and created some havoc on the defensive end of the court. She’s a reliable kid because she doesn’t have to score to help you win, but on any given night, she can light defenses up from behind the three-point line.
Paige Lillie
Paige Lillie is a kid people may not have noticed playing for Hortonville for the past few years. I first saw her at a JV game two years ago against Appleton East, when she scored around 30, and you could tell she was a kid who could contribute to most varsity teams in the state. Keeping in mind, Lillie is a D1 Softball player who plays basketball in the winter and has turned herself into a regular starter for the Polar Bears and likely will be even when Kallie Peppler Kallie Peppler 6'0" | PF Hortonville | 2024 State WI is back. She’s arguably the most physical guard in the state and can guard post players and hold her ground. Lillie is also a reliable shooter who doesn’t let the ball stick, which allows Hortonville to play with the pace they have. She’s more than capable of being a player who can make a difference in big games this season.
