While having some time to prepare for this year, I have put together a list of a handful of competitors that will be considered for our Miss Nebraska Basketball POTY. Each player is someone that is monumental in the success of their perspective team, while also being absolutely dominate in most facets of the game across the board.
Please note: This award, depending on who is giving it, usually only accounts for players competing during their Senior seasons. That will NOT be the case in this situation. Any player, from any grade level is fair game and has a chance to win.
Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

Peyton McCabe Peyton McCabe 5'4" | PG Skutt Catholic | 2024 State NE is going to be a fun player to watch for her Senior season at Skutt Catholic. On a team and in a program that doesn’t lose often, their most important game of the regular season is one against their rivals Elkhorn North and I can’t wait to be in attendance this time around. The game-play of McCabe has been sensational on the high school floor the past few years. She has led her team to consecutive winning seasons as her teams PG, while putting up big numbers in the process. McCabe has a lot of skill but one of her best abilities is shooting the ball from deep. There isn’t an occasion or situation that she doesn’t want to let it fly but at the same time, she understands what a good shot is compared to a bad one. With her being a little undersized, it’ll be interesting where she is placed in college. She is good enough to play the 1 or 2 position but it all comes down to the situation she is placed in. As for right now though, she will lock in on the season at hand and try her best to make it memorable. With the skill she possesses, it’s something that is definitely do-able. Along with being a finalist for this award when everything is said and done at the end of the season but we are still a few months away from that.
