A reminder that Angie covered a couple of the teams from Saturday who also played on Sunday.
The overall talent this young lady has is phenomenal as she is able to contribute in a variety of ways including scoring. She has great anticipation of the game and plays the ball well, able to make the play an score in transition at the rim. She is such a solid force inside or out, very poised with the ball at the rim.
Although she is only a sophomore, Kiera has seen her game really grow over the last year. She has great length and can defend the passing lanes well. Does a nice job defensively altering shots in the paint. She is steady at the line and can initiate contact and score at the rim. Not afraid of a physical game. Nice midrange scorer also.
They had a great game against Purcell Marian and with all due respect to all of the great players in that game on both sides, she was the best player in the game on this day. She showed a multidimensional game with a good frame to control the boards and she could score from anywhere. Very good handles and can put the ball on the floor to get to the rim. Good length, knocked down 3s. (featured photo above)
I have seen her play at Wayne for her whole career, and she is taking the senior leadership role on this team well. She is a major three-point threat, and showed some good aggressive play with the ability to finish at the rim. Looks to continue her solid play this season in the GWOC.
