High school basketball season is underway. Here we look at 5 potential breakout players this season from Vermont. What sets her apart though is the intangibles. She is a very mentally tough player. She always looks composed, whether her team is down or up. She is player who you are comfortable with the ball late in the games. She can score in many different ways, makes players around her better, and has a high basketball IQ. Other scouts and coaches have been quoted saying "Hayden has the IT factor". She is a very good defender. She is a high intensity on ball defender, has good defensive instincts, and will make any shot tough for who she is guarding. On offense she moves very well cutting and screening, and makes good decisions. She spaces the floor well, and is really good off the catch and shoot. She has already scored 1 thousand career points. She makes players around her better, and likes to get out in transition. She is a strong built and finishes well through contact. She can shoot from the outside, and score at all three levels. On defense she can guard multiple positions, and is very good defending on the perimeter. She has a high basketball IQ, is a leader on the floor, and makes her teammates around her better. She is a pass first Guard, and makes very good reads on the defense to set her teammates up to score. She is one of the better passers in Vermont for her class. She has a strong assist to turnover ratio, and can handle the ball the full length of the court under pressure. Zoey's game fits in well with any offensive system. She moves well, and is very hard working down low, and on the glass. She can be a slasher from the perimeter, and cuts hard off the ball. She also showing she has the skills to hit shots from the outside. On defense she can defend positions 1-4. I think there is a strong upside and a lot of potential with her game.
