Ka’Miya Webb (6’1/C/2027/Midfield HS)

Ka’Miya is a freshman who is getting some good burn on varsity. She has size and length and is a good finisher around the rim. The best part of her game right now is her presence on the defensive end of the floor and her ability to be a rim protector. Her wingspan allows her to contest and block shots often. Her offensive game is developing as she needs to continue working on her low-block moves and ultimately expand her game outside the paint. She finished with 11pts in the day one match-up against Pleasant Grove. She did not list any offers on her profile.
Tamya Smith Tamya Smith 6'0" | SF Pleasant Grove | 2024 State AL (6’0/G|F/’24/Pleasant Grove)

Tamya is one of the most versatile players in the state. She has a true perimeter and post-game and can produce inside and out. One thing I wanted to see from Tamya since last year’s final four is her development as an on-court leader. Her on-court production and skill set continue to improve, and she will be the potential difference-maker in each contest that her team competes in the remainder of the season. She has an intriguing combination of size and shot-making ability from inside the arc and is a double-double every time she steps onto the floor. In the day one match-up against Midfield, she finished with 23pts, and she did show some growth as a leader. She will be headed to the University of Memphis next year.
Lani Smallwood Lani Smallwood 5'7" | CG Susan Moore | 2026 AL (5’7/CG/2026/Susan Moore HS)

Lani is an emerging prospect that can flat-out play. She’s got a nice in-between game and nice touch in the lane and from mid-range. She scored it well from behind the arc and was one of the best long-distance shooters I saw throughout the day. She is wired to score the ball and does so at a high level, but she is also very good as a facilitator. She was feisty and aggressive and put a ton of pressure on Shades Valley Lady Mounties perimeter players. Lani is an efficient scorer from 3-levels, is really crafty with the dribble, and has great footwork. She is a sophomore who plays and has an IQ that is beyond her years. She finished with 18pts with 12pts coming from behind the arc. Current offers: South Alabama, Lipscomb, JSU, UNA.
Tee King (5’5/CG/2026/Pelham HS)

I saw Tee in action earlier in the season, and her production on day one of the classic was completely different from when I saw her last month. On day one of the classic against Huffman, she shot the ball well from behind the arc despite dealing with foul trouble. She is a young, small guard who can score and run the show. She is a prospect to monitor because she has the tools to see her stock rise over the remainder of the season. She did not list any offers on her profile.
Jamiria Jones (5’9/G|F/’24/Huffman HS)
IG: Jamiriajones12
X/Twitter: @Jamiriajones1
Jamiria is a wing who had a good showing on day one against Pelham. She is tough with the ball in her hands and knows how to score the rock off the bounce, especially at the cup. She puts a lot of pressure on her defenders and draws a lot of fouls that earn her trips to the line. This is Jamiria’s senior season, and she is emerging as a potential next-level prospect. She is comfortable and confident on the perimeter and has game instincts. She finished with 19pts against Pelham. She did not list any offers on her profile.
Jill Elisabeth Gaylard (5’3/PG/’25/Vestavia Hills HS)

If I was giving out superlative awards on the first day of the classic, the best floor general would be Jill. She orchestrates the offense well and is like a coach on the floor, and it’s obvious that she’s been around the game for a long time. She gets her teammates involved and makes some really nice passes while also putting a lot of pressure on the defense with her scoring ability. She is at her best with the ball in her hands and the freedom to create, and good things happen for the Lady Rebels when the offense is ran through Jill. She did not list any offers on her profile.
