Zoey Beehn Zoey Beehn 5’11” | SF Daviess County | 2025 State KY is having a strong junior year for Daviess County, averaging a near double-double on the season scoring 10.1 (PPG) along with a team-leading 9.7 (RPG). Beehn scores inside at a high percentage and is very capable of knocking down shots from the perimeter. She is also a underrated passer and a very good rebounder. Beehn is in the top 50 for leading rebounders in the state and grabbed her 500th career board during the first week of the month against Edmonson County, a game where she put up a double-double finishing with 15 points, 12 rebounds, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
Highlights
Neveah Day Neveah Day 6’0″ | PF Christian County | 2025 State KY is the second-leading scorer for Christian County putting up 12.4 points a game while securing a team-leading 9.8 boards a game. She’s considered to be one of the best defensive players in Western Kentucky, which is high praise considering the level of talent being produced in that part of the state. Day is a strong post player that scores very well through contact inside and brings passion and intensity to the floor.

LaReesha Cawthorn LaReesha Cawthorn 6'0" | PF Franklin-Simpson | 2025 State KY
Franklin-Simpson is having an outstanding season under 3rd year Head Coach Ashley Taylor, a Tennessee native that finished her college basketball career at Lindsey Wilson College located in Columbia, KY. The former Middle School Coach in a short period of time has revived the Girl’s Varsity program. The Lady Wildcats sit at the top of the 4th region posting a record of 19-1, with their only lost coming from Boyd County in the Kentucky 2A Championship Game. Leading the way is their standout junior LaReesha Cawthorn LaReesha Cawthorn 6’0″ | PF Franklin-Simpson | 2025 State KY , who leads the team in scoring with 17.3 points per game and rebounds with 9.7 per game. She entered this season with several Division-I offers and is playing at an extremely high level. Cawthorn is a 1000 point scorer with impressive size, length, and athleticism that allows her to make her presence felt on both ends of the court. She scores well in the paint, shows nice touch from the mid range, protects the rim on defense, and is a tremendous rebounder, with a quick second jump that really gives her an edge on the glass. If she continues to play the way she is I see this team running the table in the 4th region and making a Sweet 16 appearance.
The first time I watched Claire Roberts Claire Roberts 5’8″ | CG Lexington Christian Academy | 2025 State KY compete was in a HS summer league tournament before the start of her sophomore year. I knew then that she had all the tools to play at the next level. Seeing her growth and development from then to now has been very rewarding. Roberts is averaging almost 13.4 points per game, grabbing 4.8 rebounds, while shooting an impressive 84.5% from the free throw line making 49 out of 58 of her attempts this season. Her leadership and reliability on offense has helped guide LCA to a 11th Region All “A” Classic title, a trip to the All “A” State Tournament all while reaching 1000 points scored in her career.
East Carter’s Kinsley Rutledge Kinsley Rutledge 5’10” | CG East Carter | 2025 State KY is having a terrific junior year and is making her case as one of the top players in the 16th region. Rutledge is a wing player with a strong frame that can deliver from anywhere on the floor. She leads the Lady Raiders in scoring and rebounding with 13.4 (PPG) and 7.3 (RPG). Rutledge is playing at high level this season, I see her being an easy All-Region and All-District team selection.
