Wypych was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the Gold Division, and she certainly deserved it. She is a composed point guard who can score from anywhere on the court, but she always puts her team first and looks for the best opportunity to score. She scored 18 points and had five assists in the game against West Catholic. She also had 12 points, three assists, and three steals in the championship game against Chelsea.
Wolfe was selected for the All-tournament team, and she had an outstanding performance against West Catholic. She made 7 out of 11 three-point shots and scored a total of 30 points. In the championship game against Chelsea, she played a great all-around game and scored 11 points while grabbing five rebounds. She is one of the most efficient players I have watched this season.
Highlights
The Marquette commit was an all-tournament selection and stuffed the stats in her team’s win over Catholic Central with 19 points, six rebounds, four steals, and three assists. She did all she could do against a talented Rockford team, but her team came up a little short. She finished the game with 15 points and five rebounds.
During the Cornerstone Holiday Tournament, the sophomore guard was tasked with guarding players who had already committed to play Division 1 basketball or were receiving offers to play at that level. Despite the challenging assignments, she demonstrated composure and handled herself with poise. She does a great job of handling the ball in pressure situations. She ran the floor well and finished with multiple transition points.

Asekomeh used her length and strength in the post, dominating the boards on both ends of the floor. It was hard to remember that she is just a freshman as she plays well beyond her years. She also showed off her range by knocking down back-to-back deep 3-pointers. I am excited to watch Alexis the next four years!
