The end of the work week is here, but not the end of the excitement for girls basketball in New Jersey. We saw a plethora of great performances in the Garden State and this article will be talking about some of those, focusing solely in South Jersey for this article.

[player_tooltip player_id='488802' first='Addison' last='Yackel'] - Maple Shade (2024)

Maple Shade took care of business against Florence, allowing just 10 points in a 28-point victory, and Yackel was the key cog in the machine on Friday. Yackel knocked down 3 three-pointers en route to a 15-point night, her third game scoring in double-figures this season for the Wildcats. She's had three or more three-pointers in three of her last four games played overall.

Kaela Nichols - Salem (2024)

It was a blowout win for Salem over Camden Academy Charter, and Nichols, the senior guard for the Rams, had herself a game in the process. She finished with a game-high 17 points, two rebounds, eight assists, a block, three steals and 3 three-pointers. Pound-for-pound, Friday was Nichols's best high school performance to date and will hopefully jumpstart a strong remainder of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='601414' first='Angela' last='Wilber'] - Wildwood (2026)

Four Wildwood players finished in double-figures in a dominant win over Timber Creek, but it was the sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='601414' first='Angela' last='Wilber'] who shined for the Warriors. She knocked down a career-high five three-pointers, scoring a game-high 19 points for Wildwood, along with three assists and a steal. Already through 11 games played, she's averaging 11.7 PPG this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='583455' first='Jani' last='Scott'] - Westampton Tech (2025)

Scott was one point away from her first double-double of the season in Friday night's win for Westampton Tech, finishing with nine points, 12 rebounds, four assists and three steals. After a stretch of complementary performances, Friday was Scott's night to shine and shine she did, a great all-around performance for the versatile guard/forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='601413' first='Jahzara' last='Green'] - Gloucester Catholic (2026)

Gloucester Catholic's sophomore sensation was at it again on Friday as [player_tooltip player_id='601413' first='Jahzara' last='Green'] put on a show against Camden Catholic. Green posted her second-straight 20-point performance and fifth of the season, scoring 22, including a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line, in a 14-point win. She continues to dominate down low for the Rams and has not seemed to slow down at all.

[player_tooltip player_id='408039' first='Kaci' last='Mikulski'] - Wildwood Catholic (2024)

A banner day it was for Wildwood Catholic's star senior guard in [player_tooltip player_id='408039' first='Kaci' last='Mikulski'], joining the 1000 point club in style as she scored a season-high 26 points against Lenape, a dominant win over Lenape at that. She was just one point away from equaling her single-game career-high in scoring, but that doesn't detract from four made three-pointers and a milestone performance overall.

Madeline Spengel - Delran (2024)

Spengel has been a key driving force for Delran as a senior, her lone season with the program. Friday was her signature performance for the Bears thus far, a 19-point, 12-rebound double-double in a 49-44 win over Burlington Township. It's her second double-double in three games as she establishes herself as quite the important big within the Burlington County Scholastic League.
