Aspen Cone | PG | Van Buren | 2025
Aspen is a high-IQ point guard who plays with a good pace and understanding of the game. She’s unselfish and will pass up a good shot to make the extra pass for a great shot. She can attack closeouts off the catch or with a live dribble and get in the lane and finish or deliver on-target passes in traffic.
Makenlie Campbell | PG | Har-Ber | 2027
The more I watch Makenlie the more I love her game. The freshman point guard is showing the poise of an upperclassman. Running the point in the highest classification can be a daunting experience, but Makenlie is taking it in stride and has been successful so far this season. The team is completely different when she’s on the floor vs when she’s on the bench. During day 1 she got a couple of early fouls and had to sub. Once she got back in the game she just managed the game with her on-target passing, finishing, defense, and shooting.
Madisen Campbell | Guard | Har-Ber | 2027
Madisen typically is assigned with defending one of the opponent’s best perimeter players. Her quick feet and quick hands can give the offense trouble. She’s not just a defensive player, Madisen can also be a threat on offense. She gets out in transition and finishes with either hand, moves well without the ball, and has a respectable three-ball.
Jazmine McArther | Guard | Har-Ber | 2026
During day 1 of the tournament, Jazmine made a few three-pointers. It didn’t matter if it was off the catch or the dribble she had a good rhythm to her shot. When her jumper is falling and the defense has to close out hard or try to stay close she can use her speed and quick to get to the rim off the dribble. She’s a spark to her team that brings energy and effort on both ends of the floor.
Kori Sanders Kori Sanders 5'4" | PG Lamar | 2025 State AR | PG | Lamar | 2025
It was great to see Kori out on the floor after her injury last year. I last saw her during her freshman year in the state championship game. Well, she’s back and looked good. Kori connected on several three-pointers, was effective out of the pick-and-roll, and used screens well when she was off the ball. She constantly attacked off the dribble and gave the defense difficulty trying to keep her out of the lane. When she couldn’t get to the rim she would shoot the short jumper. Kori didn’t lose much with her time out and will continue to get better as the season goes along.
Mayli Martin | PG | Pottsville | 2025
Mayli ran the show for her Pottsville team. The junior point guard handled the ball well and kept her team organized on the offensive end. When she didn’t have the ball she ran off screens and could connect on the catch and shoot three-pointer. She also has range on her three which makes the defense have to come out and defend.
Brenna Burk Brenna Burk 5'6" | PG Russellville | 2024 State AR | PG | Russellville | 2024
Brenna is in a good groove with her team. The point guard is putting up good numbers by being a threat from the perimeter and being able to break the defense down off the dribble. She has a good motor and is all gas no breaks when it comes to her aggressiveness. Brenna is making a name for herself as one of the best point guards in the class of 2024.
