After being present all 7 days with my head on a swivel, I’ve reviewed my notes & evaluations, checked them twice and have compiled the first ever PGH All-Boardwalk Classic Teams. First Team selections were announced this weekend and now it’s time to announce the Second Team selections:
Abby Arnold | Methacton
Abby was a juggernaut on offense this tournament. She came to the Shore ready to shine and determined to make a statement. Against Nazareth Academy, she drilled four 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 27 points. She was relentless getting to the rim and initiated contact well, earning multiple trips to the free throw line. The very next day against Conwell-Egan Catholic, Abby dazzled once again, going for 23 points and draining five 3’s along the way. The long-range sharpshooter was incredible in releasing the ball quickly, making it an arduous task for defenders to closeout and successfully defend the catch and shoot. She simply could not be stopped!
Lola McGonigle Lola McGonigle 5'5" | PG Wildwood Catholic | 2027 State NJ | Wildwood Catholic
I got my first look at the super-skilled freshman this weekend and needless to say, I was VERY impressed. Her poise and the way she carried herself out there was not typical freshman behavior. She ran the point confidently, displayed excellent court vision and was a sniper from 3, knocking down four deep ones against Bishop Eustace on Saturday night. She was aggressive off the bounce and did a great job getting to the rim and subsequently, to the line. With Lola running the 1, it sets up teammate Kaci Mikulski Kaci Mikulski 5'8" | CG Wildwood Catholic Academy | 2024 State NJ to do what she does best, which is shoot the lights out!
Macie McCracken Macie McCracken 5'8" | CG Wildwood | 2025 State NJ | Wildwood
Macie had herself a tournament! In three games played, she tallied 70 points and caused a world of frustration for defenders far and wide who simply could not contain her. Against Cape May Tech, she exploded for 33 points, including four 3’s. She followed that up with a 23-point effort against Barnegat and 14 points against OLMA, with 9 of those 14 coming from deep 3-point buckets. She got to her spots quickly and pulled the trigger with full confidence and precision accuracy. Aside from her knockdown shooting, Macie displayed a supremely high motor and an undying competitive spirit.
Katerina Dakos Katerina Dakos 5'8" | SG Newark Academy | 2024 State NJ | Newark Academy
Kat seemed to be everywhere all at once in her games against Timber Creek and Egg Harbor Township. She tallied a combined 26 points in those games and her length and quickness posed problems for opponents who couldn’t match up or keep up! Strong handles and a lot of bounce made it easy for her to penetrate the defense and get to the rim. She crashed the glass with authority and was easily one of the best rebounding guards I saw during the holiday break.
Alyssa Stridiron Alyssa Stridiron 5'6" | CG St. Dominic | 2025 State NJ | Saint Dominic Academy
Alyssa was very impressive in two games this tournament, where she combined for 40 points. She was flashy and efficient, dazzling the crowd with shifty handles and electric speed. She pushed the pace, got to the rim at will and was fantastic drawing contact and getting to the charity stripe time and time again. As quickly and uptempo as she played, I never saw her get sped up out of her comfort zone and get sloppy with the ball. I was impressed with her strong baseline drives and ability to create when given little to no space. This is one hooper to have on your radar!
