Clayton had me reminisce to the first time I caught her while she was in middle school and again a couple of years later got her added to the Top 100 yet her stock has continued to rise because she keeps adding more to her impressive game. I already said she was “long and athletic” but her being “strong and powerful” places her into another group and her finishing after contact along with being able to drop it from outside make her a legitimate offensive threat but she also hits the boards, on both ends and plays solid defense
Highlights
Mann OHHHH Mann captured my attention many years ago and no matter what the setting was, she showed me she would be “setting it off” and with her being a “long and athletic” guard that defied gravity on her finishes was only part of the reason. She falls into the “never takes a play off” group of players and can change the momentum of a game either offensively or defensively. Her acrobatic finishes as well as her stop and pop jumper was clicking but so was her “on the ball” defense
Perkins made my Tip Sheet for the first time in 2018, which is why I always say “use the search bar” and I talked about her “studying” the game. I also said I was going to love her progression and I have when I was able to catch her so her scoring around the basket after contact was nice, as well as off the dribble yet her DEFENSE was really impressive inside the paint, as well as her reading the floor and playing the passing lane
Murphy has always been one of those players that understood how to get hers “in the flow” but whenever I caught her, she was always ready to not only take the clutch shot, she showed years ago she could deliver it. Fast forward to now, she’s truly hard to handle as she has taken more of a scoring mentality and showing she can find ways to put the ball into the basket, either off the dribble or from outside as well as putbacks over taller players, and her defense was solid
White showed me yet another side of her game as she was THE GLUE that kept things together. When a big basket was needed, she delivered and this was also a momentum changer as was her coming up with a steal, either by playing “on the ball” defense or playing he passing lane. She has a very nice first step and attacks strongly, she finishes after contact, but her jumper is also nice
