Continue ReadingKylie had her hands full dealing with Dawson County’s physical posts but Watkins held her own, using her length to block shots and her versatile skill set to find points from all three levels. Kylie nailed a three, hit a step-back jumper from the mid-range and scored on a post move with her left hand. Watkins totaled 8 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocks.
Zoe is an interesting sleeper prospect for small schools. At 6-foot tall, Burkett has the length to guard multiple positions and is effective in the press. She’s a true wing that stretches the floor with her three-point shot. She did a great job rebounding on Friday. Burkett has 3&D upside at the next level. She finished with 6 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 block in a 53-46 win.
When Eva got post touches, she was able to play bully-ball inside. She scored with both hands, sealing deep and finishing with her left hand for her best bucket. Bishop’s first two hoops came out of the pick and roll. Eva posted 9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
Miah Triana
Miah Triana
Miah was a force coming off the bench. Standing only about 5-foot-8, Triana has a great feel for playing in the post. She uses her body well and has a knack for getting to her left hand in traffic. She scored on rolls to the hoop and banged for buckets, using her hook shot. The southpaw drew fouls throughout the game, shooting 3-7 from the line. Triana had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
