Casey Doughty
Dual sport athlete (softball) Casey is a strong, aggressive forward who enjoys physical play in the post. Runs the floor well in transition and has a nice mid-range jumper. When utilized at high post, she can get to the basket off the bounce and sets solid screens with handoff to guards. She has been on a tear of double-doubles the last few weeks. She has put up big numbers of 21pts, 13rebounds; 27pts, 12 rebounds; 12pts, 15rebounds; 20pts, 14 rebounds.

Yasmin Hall
Yasmin is a confident, athletic shooting guard who can play spurts at the point. She attacks hard in transition, has an explosive first step and can knock down the 3 ball. She is disruptive defensively, active hands and her lateral quickness created steals and deflections. She continues to improve year to year and is a perfect fit for a team that likes to get up/down the floor. She led her team to a solid win against Class 6 Colgan.
Long, finished in paint through traffic. Typically generates offense from point position, but this game facilitated through the high post and was able to penetrate the lane and had her way around basket. Long arms created problems defensively, made good passes in transition and rebounded well. Displayed good leadership, calming team down while taking over ball handling duties to close out game and made several good kick outs when drawing helpside. Finished game against Woodbridge with 22 points while playing solid defensively and making the right decisions with the ball.

Layla Royster
First season of high school basketball, she is a dual sport athlete (soccer); Layla was impressive on both sides of the ball. She was the best athlete on the court, well conditioned and good lateral quickness. She rebounded well, very quick off the floor. Matched up against another 6ft big, her athleticism was too much for her opponent to handle on the defensive end. She had at least 9 blocks, was able to guard the perimeter and the paint. Jumped passing lanes for steals and was fastest on the court in transition. She scored cutting through the lane, being active on offensive boards and getting easy steals.
I was really impressed with Brianna’s athleticism. She plays undersized in the post, yet is averaging 14 and 11 on the season. Playing against a tough John Marshall team she was active on both sides of the ball. Led her team with an efficient 14 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 71% from field.
