On a great day of basketball spread across two venues for a great cause, there were several big-time performances. Of all the games I watched these were girls that finished on the Zach Latteri Foundation Benefit Games 1st Team.

[player_tooltip player_id='333348' first='Ella' last='Kreuzer'] - Chatham - We could talk all day about Ella's offensive performance. She was, once again, the leading scorer in the game with 21 points and continues to lead a hot Cougars squad who has won 10 straight with upcoming road battles with Colonia, Pope John and New Providence in the next 10 days. On the defensive end is where she really imposed her will on the game. She held [player_tooltip player_id='325207' first='Layla' last='Grace Giordano'] to 11 points which was her 3rd lowest output on the season. Only Holy Angels and Ramapo have held her to a lower output this season. The Bucknell commit is averaging 17+ppg, 5+rpg, 2+apg and 2+spg for the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='488849' first='Selena' last='Cieszko'] - IHA - I have watched Selena in person 3 times this year. Her team is 1-2 in those games, but she was the reason IHA was even in both of those losses. Sunday was no different. In a 67-61 loss to Saddle River Day, Selena absolutely exploded with 31 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Playing an opponent that thrives on having the best guard play Selena was the toughest guard on the court in this one. IHA will need more production from Selena in a battle with Teaneck this week.

[player_tooltip player_id='333330' first='Faith' last='Williamson'] - Saddle River Day - Faith put on an offensive clinic in a 67-61 win over IHA. She finished with 24 points including 4 3-pointers, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Sunday was her turn to lead the 3-headed SRDS monster of herself, [player_tooltip player_id='325218' first='Julianna' last='Almeida'] and [player_tooltip player_id='325189' first='Cristina' last='Parrella']. On the season she is averaging 12+ppg with 25 3-pointers, 2+rpg and 2+apg. A battle with Blair is up next for SRDS.

[player_tooltip player_id='325218' first='Julianna' last='Almeida'] - Saddle River Day - Another day where Julianna did a little bit of everything for SRDS. In a 67-61 win over IHA she finished with 17 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal while limiting IHA's leading scorer [player_tooltip player_id='333354' first='Sofia' last='Valente'] to 13 points which was her 5th lowest output of the season. The Navy commit is averaging 15+ppg and already has more 20+ point games this year than in her previous 3 seasons combined.

[player_tooltip player_id='564268' first='Toni' last='Pernetti'] - Ramapo - In a 56-48 OT win over Secaucus, Toni registered her 1st career double double. While attempting just 5FG she finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists. [player_tooltip player_id='407040' first='Alyssa' last='Craigwell'] got her 20 points, but most were on run outs in transition. In the 2nd half and especially late in the 4th quarter and OT, Toni and [player_tooltip player_id='600887' first='Grace' last='Saxton'] made Craigwell disappear in the halfcourt sets. Down 2 with 12 seconds left in regulation, Toni calmly stepped to the line and sank two FTs to send it to OT and then scored the 1st basket of OT on yet another offensive rebound. For the season, Pernetti is averaging 10+ppg, 5+rpg and 2+apg for the Green Raiders.
