2A-3A Playoff Standout SG/F’s

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Friday and Saturday I watched the 2A semis and watched the finals for 2A and 3A.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Friday PCD defeated San Carlos and Miami defeated Pima in the 2A semis.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Phoenix Country Day</strong>&nbsp;defeated Miami in the 2A Finals and&nbsp;<strong>Page&nbsp;</strong>defeated Window Rock in the 3A Finals on Saturday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here were some of the standout SG and F's</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='859874' first='Caylee' last='Longstreet'] San Carlos</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long scoring guard is the teams specialist. She will rattle in triples off the catch with range. She smartly moves without the ball and will relocate to an open spot to let it fly.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='605115' first='Ady' last='Hoopes'] Pima</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A true low post presence is highly skilled, tough and strong. She can control the paint with her footwork, rebounds the ball well, she scores on runners and is a good free throw shooter.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='605124' first='Kylee' last='Juan'] San Carlos</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A highly skilled post player scores it a variety of ways with dream shakes and uses multiple counter moves, drop steps and understands how to seal and go to work. She will also step out and shoot it from mid-range plus rebound and block shots. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='673101' first='Demetria' last='Dosela'] Miami</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A versatile forward who handles it like a point forward type. She can score with drop steps, fall away from mid-range and hit the catch three. She will cut to the hoop for a layup, hit shots from mid-range and is best off the catch from the arc.
