Fall Creek
The Crickets finally beat McDonell and earned a share of the conference title because of it. They’re playing their best basketball of the season heading into the postseason.
The x-factor for them is their best player, Jasmin Heuer Jasmin Heuer 5'10" | SF Fall Creek | 2026 State WI . Heuer’s been a well-known kid around the state, stemming from her dominance at the youth levels for Fall Creek.
This group is an athletic bunch and wants to run. The Crickets will look to force turnovers and then fly up the court in transition.
The Crickets are looking for their 13th trip to the state tournament and fifth title.
McDonell Central Catholic
The reigning D5 state champions were bumped up to D4 due to their enrollment and are one of the top teams in D4 heading into the postseason.
They have EllaMay Cooper EllaMay Cooper 5'5" | PG McDonell Central Catholic | 2027 State WI as a newcomer and her older sister, Emily Cooper Emily Cooper 5'7" | SG Mcdonnell Central Catholic | 2024 State WI . They form one of the most talented backcourts in D4. Those two have a blend of calm and creativity that can lead to extended scoring runs, and they have the pedigree to make a deep run.
The one kid to watch is the recent Viterbo commit Aubrey Dorn. Dorn’s size and skill around the basket most can’t cope with, so remember her name.
The Macks are looking for their fourth overall and consecutive trip to the state tournament and second title.
St. Mary Catholic
The Zephyrs closed out a wildly successful season, winning the Big East-North with an undefeated record.
Emily Vogel Emily Vogel 5'10" | CG St. Mary Catholic | 2025 State WI and Audrey Norville Audrey Norville 5'10" | SF St. Mary Catholic | 2024 State WI stepped up massively after kids like Emily’s older sister, Chloe, graduated a year ago. They’ve reliable scorers for the Zephyrs and earned a win against D3 title-hopeful Oostburg.
They’ll have the toughest sectional in any division to get out of, but they’ll compete with anyone.
St. Mary Catholic is looking for their first trip to the state tournament.
Kewaunee
The Storm jumped from the back half of the top of the Packerland last season to win a share of the conference title with Sevastopol.
Kewaunee has a mix of younger talent like Jadelynn Kroll and some experienced kids like Lexi Hanrahan Lexi Hanrahan 5'6" | CG Kewaunee | 2025 WI . They aren’t as well known as other teams in D4, but they’ve been excellent this season and have a path to Sectionals.
The Storm are looking for their fourth trip to state and third title.
Neillsville
The continued domination the Warriors have shown in the Cloverbelt-East is the same as it’s always been.
The Warriors went undefeated in conference play again, and Paris Opelt Paris Opelt 5'11" | SG Neillsville | 2024 State WI ‘s still one of the most underrated players in the state. However, adding Madi Davel to this group gives them another scoring and creative option that may take the Warriors back to the state tournament if things break right for them.
Neillsville is looking for their seventh trip to the state tournament and second title.
New Glarus
Lindsey Schadewalt Lindsey Schadewalt 5'10" | SG New Glarus | 2024 State WI is arguably the best player in D4.
Her ability to score 31 points per game on a 51/51/88 slash is more than absurd. Anytime she can stay on the floor, the Glarner Knights have a chance to beat anyone in D4.
The Glarner Knights are looking for their first trip to the state tournament.
Living Word Lutheran
The Timberwolves won the Midwest Classic outright with an undefeated record.
Their one loss did come to Cedar Grove-Belgium, which isn’t a noted power in their area. There is a tradition of winning in the Midwest Classic, but they’ll need to get the best out of their big three of Elaina Raymond Elaina Raymond 5'5" | SG Living Word Lutheran | 2027 WI -Kaleah Alles-Delaney Winkelmann.
The Timberwolves are looking for their first trip to the state tournament.
Racine Prairie
After seeing Laconia in the Sectional Final last season, Prairie has a path to the Resch Center.
They’ve continued to dominate in the Metro Classic, winning it with an undefeated record, and they have just about every back and healthy. Their five-person lineup of Meg Decker Meg Decker 5'8" | CG The Prairie School | 2025 State WI – Reese Jaramillo Reese Jaramillo 5'9" | SG Prairie | 2024 State WI – Ava Collier-White Ava Collier-White 5'4" | PG Prairie | 2024 State WI – JJ Glass-Barnes JJ Glass-Barnes 5'8" | CG The Prairie School | 2025 State WI – Amiyah Galica Amiyah Galica 5'9" | SG The Prairie School | 2026 State WI can play with anyone.
The Hawks are looking for their third trip to state and first title.
