Ava Mazur Ava Mazur 5'7" | SG Mainland | 2024 State NJ – Mainland (2024)
It was an arial attack like no other for Ava Mazur Ava Mazur 5'7" | SG Mainland | 2024 State NJ as she knocked down a career-high seven three-pointers en route to a career-high 28 point night for Mainland in a big win over Absegami. The Mustangs ended up having two 20-point scorers on the day, but none were more important than Mazur, giving Mainland that extra edge to reach the tournament semifinals.
Kasey Bretones Kasey Bretones 5'10" | PG Mainland | 2024 State NJ – Mainland (2024)
We have a new member of Mainland’s 1000 point club and it comes just days after her teammate achieved the same mark earlier this month. Bretones did the same off a 22-point night for Mainland against Absegami, hitting a pair of threes on the day. It’s her ninth 20-point game of the season and second-straight for the Mustangs, arguably the best team in South Jersey right now.
Sabrina Little Sabrina Little 5'6" | PG Holy Spirit | 2025 State NJ – Holy Spirit (2025)
Talk about an upset, we don’t know how many saw this coming as Holy Spirit took care of business against No. 3 seeded Our Lady of Mercy. If there was anyone that push Holy Spirit over the line, it was Sabrina Little Sabrina Little 5'6" | PG Holy Spirit | 2025 State NJ , the junior who put up 32 points on the Villagers. There was truly no stopping her as she was on a warpath for a spot in the semifinals and a chance to make the CAL tournament championship.
Khalia Lewis Khalia Lewis 6'0" | SF Our Lady Of Mercy Academy | 2027 State NJ – Our Lady of Mercy (2027)
OLMA might have come up short on this day, but Khalia Lewis Khalia Lewis 6'0" | SF Our Lady Of Mercy Academy | 2027 State NJ did what she could to keep the Villagers in the game. One of the best freshmen in the state, Lewis finished with 18 points and 23 rebounds, something that’s become almost a normal stat line for her this season, her 24th double-double in 25 games played. It’s also her fifth 15+ point, 15+ rebound performance of her freshman year.
Destiny Wallace Destiny Wallace SF Wildwood Catholic Academy | 2024 State NJ – Wildwood Catholic (2024)
Friday was a complete team effort for Wildwood Catholic taking on No. 7 seeded Lower Cape May in the quarterfinals. While not the flashiest game to be played on Friday, Destiny Wallace Destiny Wallace SF Wildwood Catholic Academy | 2024 State NJ put in a shift for the Crusaders, finishing with 11 points, six rebounds, a block and four steals. Of any game from her this season, this might be her best one of the bunch, and it came at a key time to secure a CAL tournament semifinal appearance.
Anastasia Bowman – Wildwood Catholic (2025)
Bowman was crucial for Wildwood Catholic on the defensive end and on the glass on Friday, finishing with a game-high 11 rebounds for the Crusaders in a 20+ point win. Her presence on this team has definitely grown over time, with her junior year being her most impactful to date, but it seems the rebounding has turned a corner, averaging 8.5 rebounds per game over her last four games.
