Parker is “long and athletic” which will always be the base, I say that over and over because n o matter how many times I say something, many won’t and never will get it yet I think about seeing her at the Girls TABC Showcase and was scratching my head on how I missed her yet looking at the search bar, I realized she was move-in from Oklahoma that I had already labeled #D1Lock. She signed with Texas A&M and has helped lead her team to state and observing score from midrange, as well as around the basket are part of what she brings to the table. She also defends, in and outside the paint, rebounds on both ends and plays the passing lane
Bell as in “ring my” has left me with numerous highlights as she has been one of the most consistent players to hit the big shot when needed. She can drop it from mid to long-range, she has a nice first step and attacks the basket strongly with either hand, she also finishes after contact. Her court vision is nice, she rebounds on both ends, oh yeah, she too is long and athletic
Ross is yet another “long and athletic” player and her heroics helped send her high school team to state see evaluation here
Burks has been on a scoring rampage all season long and is one of the leading scorers in the COUNTRY and her 75 point game, which included a triple double. I often say that numbers can be deceiving, I know that for a fact yet I have seen her in person and she is LEGIT. She’s explosive off the dribble, her jumper is sweet from mid to long-range because she sets the defender up effortlessly and drops it with a hand in her face. She also handles the ball and sees the floor under pressure yet on the flip, she applies heat on defense
Huff came up huge so many times in her teams regional final and was a huge reason they went to double OT. Although they came up short in an attempt to repeat as state champions, she left her mark in so many ways be being a complete ball player that could score as well as score when needed which means “crunch time was her time”. Mid to long-range, off the dribble as well as her decision making on who to give the ball to and when to give it all stand out
Atamah sold me years ago at some camp I caught her at yet I lost track after she entered high school, seeing her sparingly on club teams, usually without rosters but her Sandra Meadows Classic effort had me smiling see evaluation here
Wesley closed out her high school career dropping huge numbers, against solid teams, please remember “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against” see evaluation here
Brown has been consistent all through her career and being a player with certain things you can’t teach like DESIRE and her “you won’t outwork me” mindset around the basket has been key to her team reaching the state Final 4. She also has done a good job of not only scoring around the basket, but facing it to score, as well as attacking from the wing. Her defense, in and outside the paint has also improved
