Ross is “long and athletic” which will always be the base but her interior defense coupled with her timing played a huge part in the win. She made key stops and blocks, altered and deflected shots also, plus she rebounded strongly on both ends of the court. Ross improved outside shooting over the years has made her as legitimate mid to long-range scorer, which came in handy, but so did her attacking off the dribble as well as finishing around the basket

Ross is a player that I have watched turn several corners since I first caught her in middle school. She too was primarily a back to the basket player and mostly a decoy on offense yet her fierceness going after the ball off the rim was intriguing and told me she was going to be a force in the paint with the proper reps because the effort was there. She’s powerful and began scoring with players literally hanging on her in the paint, putbacks included as she rebounded on both ends. She also extended her range and was dropping shots from mid to long yet her timing to block, alter and (or) deflect shots has also gotten better as she heads to UTSA next
