Continue ReadingHorizon’s season came to an end Thursday morning at The Coliseum but the performance Kaitlin was able to put on was one for the books. In 26 minutes of play she went 3-8 from the floor, ending the game with 13 points and 10 rebounds. She played with a lot of energy and provided her team with opportunities to get easy looks. Those opportunities came from passing the ball out of the post to open shooters or stretching the floor and knocking down the 3 herself.rn
Wilhelm has been a major factor in what Legend has been able to do all season long. She can impact the game in a variety of ways making her nightmare to gameplan against. In the game against Horizon she had 13 points which was the team high while also grabbing 6 rebounds and 4 steals. All things we’ve seen her do all season and that she will need to continue doing in order to make it to the State Championship game.
We credit a lot of Valor’s success to the amazing guard play they’ve had over the last couple of years rightfully so but this season Camryn Gunter Camryn Gunter 6’1″ | SF Valor Christian | 2026 State CO has inserted her name into the chat. Gunter is a 6’1 forward with a great skill set. She’s able to score from all 3 levels of the floor, something that she put on full display against Rock Canyon ending the game with 18 points and 13 rebounds along with a win.rn
Highlights
Rock Canyon had a great season, they turned a lot of heads and put the state on notice making the Great 8 as a 12th seed. Although it’s over I couldn’t let the season end without highlighting Alyssa Goode Alyssa Goode 5’9″ Rock Canyon | 2025 State CO and what was able to do in the game against Valor. Goode is a shooter no matter what gym you put her in and this game was no different. Ending the game with 13 points on 2-3 from 3 and leave it all on the floor.
Valor Christian will go as far as Rylie Beers Rylie Beers 5’10” | CG Valor Christian | 2025 State CO will lead them. She is their anchor on the defensive end of the floor and brings an energy that is unmatched time and time again. That’s without even adding in any of the things she does in the scoring column. Beers is a player that does what needs to be done for her team to win. In the Great 8 she made shots when needed, got steals on defense, and created for others. She finished the game 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assist,s and 4 steals.
