This time we also saw great stuff from a few really good North Dakota prospects, too. Here are the Prep Girls Hoops top individual performances at the Winter Lakes Classic.
Morgan Korf Morgan Korf 5'7" | PG Pelican Rapids | 2026 State MN – 2026 guard, Pelican Rapids
We opened the day on Saturday with a dominant performance from the Vikings of Pelican Rapids in their matchup against Sauk Centre. The game started off in relatively even fashion with both teams trading buckets for the first 10 minutes. It was at this point when Vikings 2026 point guard Morgan Korf Morgan Korf 5'7" | PG Pelican Rapids | 2026 State MN (pictured above) started knocking down shots. She sparked the Vikings to a 12-3 run and never looked back. The top 15 sophomore showed off her rather deep bag of tricks, using crafty ball handling and athleticism to attack the rim and create shots off the bounce. All game long Korf played with hustle and tenacity on both ends of the floor. Pelican Rapids walked away with a 65-46 win and Korf finished with a game-high 25 points. Morgan’s season stats are impressive: 21.7 ppg on 50% from two-point range and 37% from three with 7 rebounds, 5 assists and nearly 4 steals per game. She’ll play AAU for North Tartan EYBL this spring.
Alexis Rose Alexis Rose 5'10" | CG Becker | 2024 State MN – 2024 guard, Becker (Sioux Falls)
Our second game of the day was a matchup between the Becker Bulldogs and Albany Huskies. The Bulldogs have been a bit up and down this season, pulling off wins against Monticello and Hancock, but dropping games to Spring Lake Park and St. Francis. Inconsistencies like these are to be expected when your core rotation includes four players who are still in middle school. Point guard Alexis Rose Alexis Rose 5'10" | CG Becker | 2024 State MN has been the most consistent piece for the Bulldogs this season. The only senior in the starting lineup, Lexi is averaging 22.9 points per game and she gave yet another virtuoso performance this weekend. The University of Sioux Falls commit was cashing in all over the floor at a high rate of efficiency, knocking down 6 of 11 threes and going 7-for-8 at the free throw line. Rose set a Bulldogs single-game scoring record, finishing the contest with 41 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Kylan Gerads Kylan Gerads 5'11" | SF Albany | 2024 State MN – 2024 guard, Albany (St. Cloud State)
Saturday’s game was a team effort for Albany. With four of the five starters scoring in double figures, the Huskies pulled off an 81-65 win over Becker’s young crew. Leading the way for Albany was 5’11 senior forward Kylan Gerads Kylan Gerads 5'11" | SF Albany | 2024 State MN . The St. Cloud State commit had a stellar double-double performance, with 23 points and 12 rebounds, as well as 4 assists and 4 steals. Also scoring in double figures were Gerads’ fellow seniors – St. Thomas commit Alyssa Sand Alyssa Sand 6'2" | PF Albany | 2024 State MN (18), strong D3 prospect Tatum Findley Tatum Findley 5'9" | CG Albany | 2024 State MN (15), and veteran guard Callie Holthaus (13). Gerads is a top 25 prospect in the senior class and was named to the Breakdown Super Seniors list prior to the start of the season. With the win over the Bulldogs, Albany brings their record to 17-1 with the only loss coming against Mountain Iron-Buhl at the Granite City Classic.
Hadley Thul Hadley Thul 6'2" | SG Alexandria | 2025 State MN – 2025 guard/wing, Alexandria
Our last game of the Winter Lakes Classic featured a matchup between Davies High School of Fargo and the home team Alexandria. The game kicked off with a brief celebration for Alexandria head coach Wendy Kohler, who coached her 1,000th game on Saturday. It was junior forward Hadley Thul Hadley Thul 6'2" | SG Alexandria | 2025 State MN who had a hot start in the contest, scoring 8 of the team’s first 11 points. With Thul standing at an incredibly long 6’2, the vertically challenged Davies Eagles had a difficult time stopping her from scoring in the first half. Hadley was the leading point-getter for the Cardinals on the night; she finished with 22 points, just above her season average of 18.5 ppg. As a top 10 prospect in the 2025 class, Thul has grown her game a ton in recent months and it’s paying off with strong Division 1 offers continuing to come in.
Fallon Passanante – 2026 guard, Fargo Davies
We saw an outstanding performance from Fargo Davies guard Fallon Passanante on Saturday in the Eagles 65-61 win over Alexandria. From the tip Fallon showcased her quickness and athleticism, as well as her high-pressure defense. The Eagles made it very difficult for Alexandria to take care of the basketball and Fallon had at least 3 steals in the first half alone. Davies started the second half with a 6-point deficit that quickly vanished when Passanante started draining threes. She hit three in a row to open the half, and in just a few minutes Davies went on a 15-2 run. The visitors continued to fight off the Cardinals, eventually hitting a series of free throws to close the contest. Passanante, a top 5 prospect in North Dakota’s 2026 class, was the game’s leading scorer. She finished with 30 points, and a whopping 8 shots from beyond the arc. We loved her last summer with Inspired Athletics AAU; Saturday she reminded us why.
