Friday night saw a district matchup that would determine the crown in 1-4A. The Huntington Lady Raiders traveled to Blanchard to play the Northwood Lady Falcons for sole possession of first place. After a back and forth game in the first half, Huntington pulled away in the second half for the 85-49 victory. This game had about six players who displayed why they are top players in the state. In this Prep Hoops exclusive, we will look at the top performers from the Huntington-Northwood clash.

[player_tooltip player_id='484974' first='Carley' last='Hamilton'] - Hamilton scored a game high 32 showing all of her attributes on the floor. In the half court, she displayed her spot up shooting skills along with her ability to drive and dish. Transition saw Carley finish baskets with both hands and find players with some fantastic passes. The Huntington junior had her full game going and showed exactly what type of threat she is.

[player_tooltip player_id='943325' first='Kaylie' last='Dupree'] - The freshman post was on top of her game defending the post. Her three blocks were against the primary person she was defending and players outside of the area. On offense, Kaylie scored most of her points by short jumpers in the paint as well as putbacks off the glass. The way she defended the paint and scored on offense, Dupree showed she is ready to contribute heavily with the playoffs around the corner.

[player_tooltip player_id='489558' first='Kyndal' last='Graham'] - Kyndal had some foul trouble early in the contest. However, when she came back in, she showed why she may be the best player in the sophomore class. Graham knows how to push the pace and did that for the Raiders. She found players in transition ahead of the pack or running the traditional break. Her three point shot was on from behind the arc in several areas. Her 20 points definitely helped secure the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='484924' first='Hannah' last='Mouton'] - The Lady Falcon senior left it all on the floor on Friday night. Mouton was very good at anticipating passes and getting the ball up the floor in transition. Her ability to get the defensive rebound and push the ball up the floor was valuable for the Falcons. When it came to 50/50 balls, she was all over the floor trying to make hustle plays. Those hustle plays and her finishes at the rim made the game highly competitive early.

A'leiya Brewer - Brewer showed that she will be a force for the next three years for the Lady Falcons. She has the ability to create space in the paint and rebound. When she does gather the rebounds, she goes back up quickly to prevent blocks. Her willingness to work from box to box makes her a player to watch for the next three years.

Both teams will finish the season this week and will be looking forward to having long playoff runs. The players above will be important for each team in the playoffs.
