Aminah Dixon Aminah Dixon 5'6" | SG Fort Bend Stephen F. Austin | 2025 State TX -5’6 CG (Fort Bend Austin) 2025
Dixon has been out most of the season with an injury so to see her step onto the court and immediately bring fire was refreshing, to say the least. Yes, she has the jumper as well as attacking off the dribble but her mere presence and leadership stood out, and so did her diving for loose balls yet seeing her FOLLOW HER SHOT deserves the #THROWBACK hashtag
Alina Hernandez-5’10 SG (San Antonio Churchill) 2025
Hernandez dropped back to back three pointers down the stretch against Vista Ridge to not only change the momentum but give them some breathing room in their second-round victory. She also scored off the dribble yet her on-the-ball defense was also a huge plus watching her all but seal the victory with a backward reverse lay-up has me looking forward to catching them in the next round, hopefully, it’s on lIVESTREAM
Mya Rhea-5’6 SF (Alief Taylor) 2026
Rhea is another piece to next year’s puzzle as I’ve mentioned Nataliyah Gray Nataliyah Gray 6'3" | PF Alief Taylor | 2025 State TX along with Madison Bush-Lewis Madison Bush-Lewis 5'5" | PG ALIEF Taylor | 2025 State TX as keys to next season’s run yet watching her handle the pressure and knock down shots, I’m talking about from deep with a hand in her face gives her team a legitimate Big 3 to compete and since she’s only a sophomore that can defend and see the floor, I’ll be watching her “on the court” progression
Shreya Jategaonkar-5’8 SG (Seven Lakes) 2024
Jategaonkar is a player I love to watch square up because she does it instinctively and with her range, as well as flick of the wrist, she can deliver from deep. She creates her own shot and can drop it off the screen but she also shows a little “stop and pop” in transition. Her deceptive first step comes in handy and keeps the defender guessing as she attacks off the dribble
Jayla Lewis-5’7 CG (Jersey Village) 2024
Lewis has put up numbers this season, one of my friends asked me to catch her game and it fit into the schedule so all I was hearing from the announcers was about her dropping 40 points a couple of times but what I saw was her controlling the tempo and getting her teammates involved, which was nice yet her seeing the floor both in the set as well as the length of the floor also stood out. She created her shot and left the defender standing a few times as she attacked the basket
