Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
Addison Toelle Addison Toelle 5’7″ | PG West Point-Beemer | 2025 State NE joins us in the Top 75 Rankings in this Update because of her athletic ability and her ability to control what her team’s offense is trying to accomplish. Toelle is the type of Guard that you can move between the 1 or the 2 position but her best spot is definitely as the Point Guard. She understands what her job is every time she takes the court and she never backs down from a challenge. In general, Toelle is a multi-sport athlete, that always makes her presence known no matter what sport she is competing in. She is someone that plays with an edge majority of the time, always willing to mix it up with some bigger opponents. For this past season, West Point Beamer put together a nice year in total. They won some games against some tough teams, while holding their own in almost every contest. I’m hoping coming into this Winter that they can keep this momentum and build on it moving forward.
Reece Mlady Reece Mlady 5’8″ | SG Blue Hill | 2025 State NE of Blue Hill High School is a prospect that put up productive numbers in several different categories, all season long. Mlady is someone that feasts off of hard-work and dedication. It doesn’t matter if she is attempting to Rebound, Assists, Score, or Defender. No matter what is it, you can tell that Mlady is giving it her all in every way possible. To end this season, Mlady was one of her teams top producers on both sides of the ball. Each night she put up eye opening numbers in the Scoring and Rebounding departments, while also being one of the first on the floor for a loose ball if the situation presented itself. I’m not sure what Mlady’s future is looking like right now but she works so hard that I wouldn’t be surprised if she had some collegiate level recruiters reach out over these next few months. Whenever you have a prospect that will buy-into a common goal and give it their all, you can build off of that at any level.
From the glimpses I have seen, Jayla Merrill Jayla Merrill 5’8″ | PG Lincoln Northeast | 2025 State NE can bring a lot of positivity and effort to the floor, whenever she is called upon. This past Winter, Merrill may not of seen the floor so much but when she did, she made the most out of her opportunities. Sometimes as a player, you have to respect the role that the coaches give you, even though you might not necessarily agree with it. I think that Merrill does a GREAT job of staying positive and being a “glue” type player. She is always willing to come into the game at any moment and make an impact, always being ready to go off of the bench. It takes a special type of person/competitor to always be ready to roll, while staying in check with their emotions. From everything that I have seen, Merrill is that special type of player, who just wants the best for her teammates. She doesn’t care how that happens and that speaks volumes to who she is, not only as a prospect but as a person throughout every day life. I’m excited to see what she can put together this AAU season. If she stays confident, the sky is the limit.
Roncalli High School was a program that interested me all Winter long with the results that they posted but someone that was a consistent role player all season was Guard, Jordyn Rohlfsen Jordyn Rohlfsen CG Roncalli | 2025 State NE . Rohlfsen stands at around 5’9 and she moves well. I wouldn’t say that she has a super specific position but more-so she can move all over as a Guard and make things happen. As of most recent, she was named as an all conference honorable mention player, that showed her worth every chance that she got. Within a program that had a handful of high-end talent type prospects, Rohlfsen did a great job of standing out because of her own special abilities. This group is prepped to come back and have an even better Winter season in a few months. If they stay locked in and take care of their business, they are going to be able to makes some waves during the 2024-2025 season. We are still a little bit away from that but it never hurts to think about what could be.
Grand Island Central Catholic High School may not of won their State Title this season for their Class but that doesn’t change the fact that they put together a very memorable season. A big part of their success was due to their upperclassmen and their efforts. One of those players being PG, Anna Tibbetts Anna Tibbetts 5’4″ | PG Grand Island Central Catholic | 2025 State NE . Tibbetts is a trend setter and high end player when she is in the zone. Just like any prospect playing in any sport, when Tibbetts has the confidence of herself and the teammates around her to support, she is so much better. She plays smooth basketball, with a crafty style. Being a smaller guard can be tough and sometimes you have to adapt with what you do. If you want to be someone that everyone talks about, you need to be efficient and show them that you mean business. I think that Tibbetts and her squad did that every game in one way or another this season. I am curious how they are going to be come back this next season but we will just have to wait and see. This program is known for being really sound and fundamental. If they stick to that, they are going to continue to find success in my opinion.
