is going to be looked upon to be their big producer in the Scoring and Assisting departments of the game. Merrill plays with solid pace, a nice handle, and decent vision. She is someone that understands how to get her 1v1 matchup in open space and how to create for others while attacking. Defensively, she moves her feet pretty well and does a good job of beating her opponents to their spots. It’s going to take more than just Merrill’s efforts for this group to have a great season but she is definitely going to be in charge of making a lot of things happen.

can bring a lot of positivity and effort to the floor, whenever she is called upon. This past Winter, Merrill may not of seen the floor so much but when she did, she made the most out of her opportunities. Sometimes as a player, you have to respect the role that the coaches give you, even though you might not necessarily agree with it. I think that Merrill does a GREAT job of staying positive and being a “glue” type player. She is always willing to come into the game at any moment and make an impact, always being ready to go off of the bench. It takes a special type of person/competitor to always be ready to roll, while staying in check with their emotions. From everything that I have seen, Merrill is that special type of player, who just wants the best for her teammates. She doesn’t care how that happens and that speaks volumes to who she is, not only as a prospect but as a person throughout every day life. I’m excited to see what she can put together this AAU season. If she stays confident, the sky is the limit.
