All of these prospects will be ones to keep an eye on heading into the postseason and summer circuit. Let’s take a look.
Barabas is a skilled wing player who has the ability to excel in many areas on the court. What stands about Barabas is her three point shooting and her basketball IQ. She has great mechanics, quick release, and smooth follow through on her shot. She has a natural feel for the game and always seems to be in the right place, at the right time. She is an exception passer and can thread passes into difficult passing lanes. She has great handle and has shown flashes of being able to create her own shot. She will transition into one of the primary scoring slots for her team next season and will be one to watch.
Highlights
Weinick has a strong freshmen campaign where she showed why she will be a force for the next 3 years. Weinick is a confident shooter from the perimeter and has that shooter’s mentality that you want. She has good quickness and anticipation to generate fast break opportunities. She is dangerous in the open floor and can easily dish it off or take it to the rack. With one season now under her belt, expect Weinick to take on a larger role next season,
Highlights
Trimarchi is an inside/outside threat and plays tough, hard nosed defense, has a natural feel for the game and sees the floor well. She is a great shooter from the perimeter and has a developing mid-range game. She is great passer and has great ball control and handle, can accelerate and is an underrated rebounder on both ends of the floor. Loves to run in transition and set up teammates for easy buckets. She loves to compete and makes the right play for her team to win.
Marsh is a certified bucket getter. She can create her own shot from all three levels averaging 23 pts per game her freshmen year. She is relentless when driving to the basket, draws contact and gets to the free throw line quite often. Her shooting mechanics are smooth with quick release. Can dice up a defense and get the shot she wants in iso or zone defensive schemes. Her ability to change pace along with her elite handle and ball control that makes her one of the best guards in the state, and this is just the beginning.
Volmer has the handle to create space and get an open look from anywhere on the court. She plays a bruising style of basketball and loves to play with her back to the basket. Has an array of post moves and can finish with either hand. She has great moves on and off the dribble that gives her the ability to beat defenders. She’s not afraid of contact and plays a fearless style of basketball that will suit her well going into her sophomore season.
