play multiple times, between the high school season and the AAU Spring Circuit. The more I watch Volmer play, the more impressed I become. Simply put, she does everything well. Volmer is an elite shot blocker and low-post defender. She is a dominant rebounder, making her a double-double machine. Volmer scores on multiple putbacks off the offensive glass and is virtually unstoppable when she is allowed to catch the ball on the block. She uses her strength to power through defenders. She has a soft shooting touch around the hoop. Volmer also connects on midrange shots at a consistent clip. She has very good hands and has a variety of moves in the low post.

was named to the New York State Second Team due to her outstanding work for Holy Names. Volmer is currently honing her game with the Cap City Scrappers, and the college offers are pouring in. The six-footer is one of the top post players in the Capital Region and will continue to get better. Volmer is a skilled shot blocker, and opponents are forced to alter their shots just by her presence. She is a dominant rebounder. Volmer scores on multiple putbacks off the offensive glass and is virtually unstoppable when she is allowed to catch the ball on the block. She has a soft shooting touch around the hoop. Volmer surpassed the 1,000-point plateau this season and should add a significant amount to her total as a senior.

was a major force for the Cap City Scrappers in every game she played in. Defensively, Volmer was a disruptive force in the paint, often altering shots just by her presence in the lane. Volmer is a skilled shot blocker who has very good footwork. Volmer scores on multiple putbacks off offensive rebounds and can dominate a game on the boards. She is virtually unstoppable when she is allowed to catch the ball on the block and has a very soft shooting touch. Volmer’s biggest game at the event was a 12 points, 12 rebound double-double performance. She also swatted away five shots in that contest.

The six-footer is one of the top post players in the Capital Region, and her entire arsenal was on display in being named to the all-tournament team. Despite a loss in the championship game, Volmer registered a double-double of 16 points and 13 boards. In the semifinals against Glens Falls, Volmer scored 17 points. Volmer was a disruptive force in the paint in both games. Volmer is a skilled shot blocker, and opponents are forced to alter their shots just by her presence. Volmer scores on multiple putbacks off offensive rebounds and is virtually unstoppable when she is allowed to catch the ball on the block. Volmer surpassed the 1,000-point plateau this season.

Volmer has elite footwork in the paint and plays with physicality. Very crafty with her footwork in the paint with an array of moves to finish with her back to the basket. She is a good rim protector in the paint and cleans up on the glass with her rebounding.

Vollmer can run the floor well and has great court vision from the top of the key. Has a nice mid-range jumper and has good footwork and finishing touch in the paint. Plays with high motor. Can set good screens and roll to the basket. Will be ready for a monster sophomore season with another offseason to improve.

Volmer has the handle to create space and get an open look from anywhere on the court. She plays a bruising style of basketball and loves to play with her back to the basket. Has an array of post moves and can finish with either hand. She has great moves on and off the dribble that gives her the ability to beat defenders. She’s not afraid of contact and plays a fearless style of basketball that will suit her well going into her sophomore season.
