Incarnate Word wins their 131st straight game.

Incarnate Word hasn't lost in a little over 4 seasons and this game was the most unique of them all. The Red Knights had to play without their coach Dan Rolfes. It was a spirited, emotional effort that was undoubtedly done for their coach. Prep Hoops Missouri would like to extend their thoughts and well wishes to the Rolfes family during this tough time. We all hope to see Rolfes back on the sideline making an impact on the next generation during the 24-25' season.

[player_tooltip player_id='302784' first='Peyton' last='Hill'] is the standard as a two-way wing in this 2025 class.

There's few, if anybody, better than Hill when it comes to being a two-way wing in this junior class. She's a high level defender who showed scoring ability in this championship game. Her 17 points led the team and she had it going from all three levels. Layups, tough contact finishes, and threes. Hill is an energizer who brings plenty of toughness and competitive fire to the floor. She communicates at all times. The ultimate team player. Looking forward to the summer, she's a player we expect to see raise her stock in a major way.

Like most years, the future is bright for IWA.

The Red Knights return a lot of production but lose key contributors [player_tooltip player_id='366817' first='Zoe' last='Best'], [player_tooltip player_id='194395' first='Kaylynn' last='Janes'], and [player_tooltip player_id='361695' first='Abbie' last='Sextro']. Expect to see [player_tooltip player_id='624398' first='Nevaeh' last='Caffey'] and [player_tooltip player_id='302784' first='Peyton' last='Hill'] be their top players in a senior campaign. [player_tooltip player_id='351776' first='Addi' last='Owen'] is an exciting 2026 that defends and makes the three at a high level. Her role will increase. [player_tooltip player_id='351778' first='Savannah' last='Stricker'] and [player_tooltip player_id='302756' first='Peyton' last='Olufson'] are two other sophomores that will likely step into bigger roles. Don't count out a transfer or two as well. This is a prestigious program that talented players want to play in.

Kickapoo will continue to build around [player_tooltip player_id='303495' first='Mikayla' last='Pilley'] and [player_tooltip player_id='460870' first='Josie' last='Salazar'].

Two guards who give this team a chance to be in this position again next season. They're a dynamic duo in the Springfield region and cause defenses to have problems. Both are able to create off the bounce and make plays for others. 13 points a piece in this championship game. Salazar has top end speed and Pilley makes tough shots with her positional size. As Salazar becomes an upperclassman and Pilley enters her senior year, the experience they provide will be unmatched.
