Marleigh epitomizes the definition of a true combo guard. She possesses the versatility to excel both as a point guard and when playing off the ball. In her role as a point guard, she adeptly manages the game, orchestrates the team, and consistently makes impactful plays. Conversely, when off the ball, she emerges as a formidable scoring threat. Marleigh demonstrates proficiency in shooting the three-pointer and dismantling defenses with her dribble penetration skills.
Highlights
Brenna stands out as one of the most dynamic point guards in the state. She exhibits aggressiveness on the offensive end, showcasing an attacking mentality. Brenna’s versatility in shooting the three is remarkable, whether it’s spotting up, shooting on the move, or pulling up off the dribble. Her assertive playing style was instrumental in guiding Russellville to the second round of the playoffs.
If I were to use one word to characterize Amelia, it would undoubtedly be “consistent.” Each time I witnessed her play, I observed the same level of effort, energy, and heart on display. It seemed as though she never experienced an “off day.” Her exceptional skills are poised to seamlessly transition to the college level, where she is destined to achieve success.
Moving to Cabot after competing in the 3A conference could pose a significant adjustment for any player. However, AbbiGrace seamlessly navigated this transition and elevated Cabot from a good team to a serious contender. Her versatility to excel both on the low block and on the perimeter posed a formidable challenge for opponents attempting to match up with her. Despite her tenure at Cabot lasting only one year, she undeniably left an indelible mark on the program.
Taleigha exhibits a more traditional post-up game, preferring to operate close to the basket. She excels at playing on the block, dominating the boards, running the floor, scoring with her back to the basket, and offering strong defensive support. Her presence in the paint was instrumental in Russellville’s success this year.
