Continue ReadingReale Walton can absolutely play basketball on the next level. She is a really good point guard that plays with so much poise. She is a tough, savvy veteran that makes good decisions with the basketball and she is certainly in the top tier of ball handlers in the state. She had a number of games where she put up 20+ points, showing off her ability to be able to score in droves. She handles pressure about as good as you will find and she has a bevy of moves that she can use to get by defenders. She is sneaky quick and a coach would not have to worry about her taking plays off. She has been impressive every time we have seen her play with her overall skills and ability to be a true floor general.
Rmani reached 1,000 point territory this season and this is no surprise as she has earned a reputation of being a really strong shooter through the years. You could make the argument that she is the best available shooter in the 2024 class. She has very deep range with really good form that allows her to get up high and shoot right over the top of opponents. She has no hesitation and has the confidence you want to see out of a player with solid scoring abilities.
Tyler reached her 1,000th point in February and was the focal point of a West Cabarrus team that had a solid year under veteran Head Coach Tolonda Simmons. She is a solid PG that can play on or off the ball. The team goes as she goes and when she is on, she is very difficult to stop. She can operate well off the dribble and knows how to beat the defender and distribute accordingly. Very good approach to the game and can be a solid contributor to a program at the next level that is in needed of some depth at the position.
Tyra is a really good all around player that is certainly worthy of a lot more recognition. Sun Valley’s lead ball handler finished on the 3rd team All-County list this past season. As a PG, I love the way she operates in pick and roll situations. She definitely has the speed you want from your PG. She makes the right reads and will facilitate to the open teammate. She takes good care of the basketball and she always put her team in position to score. She is good in the half court game but she has no problem playing in transition and leading the break. She can be found on film rebounding the ball, then taking it the length of the floor, beating everyone down the court. Tyra already has the skillset that alot of coaches are already looking for and would certainly do well with a coach that is looking for a very high upside guard.

Yet another 1,000 point scorer on this list that needs more attention after garnering her second All-Conference award.. Damireona is a true big that has shown the ability to be very dominant in games. She has shown the ability to obtain double doubles and utilizes her body very well when she is in the paint. She will clog the middle and is a very strong rebounder and finisher inside. Though the team as a whole did not have the success on the court it hoped for, Damireona without a doubt impressed in her final year and showed good signs of development over the last few years.
