Re’ale Walton was the South Piedmont 3A Conference Player of the Year. Her consistency throughout her high school career certainly sets her apart from others, and she remains composed in every game no matter what the score is looking like. Her court vision is fun to watch as she can handle the ball getting to the openings herself, or she moves the defense in order to make the best pass into her teammates. She can anticipate what her opponents are going to do stripping the ball away from them and exploding to the other end of the court for some points.

Reale Walton can absolutely play basketball on the next level. She is a really good point guard that plays with so much poise. She is a tough, savvy veteran that makes good decisions with the basketball and she is certainly in the top tier of ball handlers in the state. She had a number of games where she put up 20+ points, showing off her ability to be able to score in droves. She handles pressure about as good as you will find and she has a bevy of moves that she can use to get by defenders. She is sneaky quick and a coach would not have to worry about her taking plays off. She has been impressive every time we have seen her play with her overall skills and ability to be a true floor general.

This senior is a true PG that has continued to impress everyone that lays eyes on her. She is lightening quick off the dribble and knows how to attack the defense in open space. She is not bothered by heavy pressure at all and can still run an offense with hands all in her face. Coaches will elect to double her at times, however that opens up the floor for everyone else. She does a great job in the pick and roll and can hit the open jump shot when you need her. She has a very aggressive approach to the game and can be plugged into a variety of offensive sets. Collegiate programs in need of a dynamic PG must give Re’Ale a look.

is a smooth ball handler seeing the gaps from the top of the key and taking full advantage exposing them with the ball. She gets to the rim easily scoring against her opponents rolling the ball off her fingertips. She’s a tough defender, too, fighting her way around screens to stay with her opponent and make sure they don’t see any kind of opening.

Just as there was a strong presence on Sunday from 4A Hough, there was also a strong showing at this year’s Prep Girls Hoops North Carolina Top 250 Expo from the Northwest Cabarrus contingency that was on hand. Walton was particularly efficient with the ball in her hand and had no problems attacking the basket and finishing strong at the rim. She complimented that with a knack for being able to knock down her 3-point tries. Walton is a multi-sport athlete who also takes part in track and field events alongside what she does basketball-wise and those attributes certainly translate seamlessly to the hardwood.

is an excellent ball handler controlling the tempo and facilitating plays. She gets the pass to her teammates filling the lane herself to open up the court for them, and she attacks the basket finishing through contact making some nice adjustments at the rim. She’s tough on defense being ready to take on any guard who tries to get by her as she takes over the top of the press.

Re’ale Walton continued to show why she is the season’s leading scorer for the Trojans. She was a tough defender jumping into passing lanes being able to anticipate what her opponents were trying to do on offense. She pushed these steals up the court for some aggressive fast breaks scoring two points on her own. She was showing off some nice finishes at the rim showing her reverse layups after some quick drives to the hoop. She has a lethal crossover getting her opponent out of her way. She was the calm presence her team needed grabbing steals and settling them down or making some crossovers to jump shots to score some points when her team was in a scoring drought.
