Here’s part 1, featuring players from Hardwork Avery and Hardwork Henry, special S/O to Houston Lady Nets director Coach Dominique for getting the info for me
Erin Authorlee
Erin Authorlee
Authorlee wrote a book which read #sizedontmatter when you can play and with her being an athletic guard that uses her athleticism on both ends of the court. She has a solid first step to attack the basket, nice body control on her finishes and good court vision yet she also showed she could score from outside and her “stop and pop” 3 in transition was nice, so was her defense
Kennedy Morris
Kennedy Morris
Morris is long and athletic, if you pay attention to what I say about that profile, you would know I call it the base because not only do I love evaluating players that fall into that category, so do many next level coaches. Her intangibles start with her playing the passing lane, which I love to see and she handles the ball afterward. She also scored off the dribble and defended “on the ball”
Brandy Rasmussen
Brandy Rasmussen
Rasmussen is heady and stays under control yet her decision making under pressure was nice. She saw the floor in the set, as well as in the open court but she also did a good job of not only creating her shot but dropping it while being defended in the set. She also showed she could nail the “stop and pop” in transition
Angel Ngari
Angel Ngari
Ngari attacked the basket from multiple angles and showed her athleticism to get by the defender but her body control was smooth after contact on her finishes. She saw the floor in the set, as well as off the dribble and she played the passing lane
D’Annah Henry
D’Annah Henry
Henry set the defender up nicely to attack the basket, her deceptive first step played a part in that but she also finished after contact. Her defense was solid, she played the passing lane and handled the ball afterward and in transition she did a good job hitting teammates. Her court vision was also a plus in the set, she dropped the pull-up jumper yet her diving on the floor for loose balls had me smiling
Olivia Bateman
Olivia Bateman
Bateman is long and athletic, yeah it’s still the base and she understands positioning around the basket to rebound. She also plays within herself which means she doesn’t force anything and she did a good job of getting hers “in the flow”. Her pull-up jumper looked good, she also attacked the basket
