Continue ReadingThis past week I have been tasked with finding some of the biggest “sleepers” out of the 2024 – Senior Class throughout the entire country. In this article, I highlight the four prospects that I personally contributed to the article, as well as adding in a few more “sleepers” from throughout the State of Iowa and Nebraska. Each player listed is someone that has a college level game but they still do not have an official home going into next season.

Laci Mast
Laci Mast
“Laci Mast is an aggressive guard that can do a plethora of different things on the hardwood. She is a constant producer on and off of the ball, she moves well down the floor at a quick pace, and she understands her surroundings at all times. Mast is a multiple sport athlete and it shows. Every time she takes the floor, she is her teams most productive player and it’s obvious. This winter was a memorable one for Mast as it pertain to the high school floor. She demonstrated each evening that she was someone the opposing team was going to have to game plan for and when that’s the case, you can tell that she is a baller.”
Iowa
“Thompson has been a talent catching the eyes of recruiters for years now because of her mixture of height and coordination. She would be considered a Forward, who can definitely produce in more ways than one. She uses her length to dominant smaller defenders offensively, while using her outstretched arms to usually get a tip, block, or deflection near the painted area on defense.”
Highlights
“Other than putting up eye-opening numbers throughout her entire High School career, Macy Boge Macy Boge 5’7″ | CG North Linn | 2024 State IA has demonstrated that she is a winning player, on and off of the court. Boge is a quick Guard, that produces on and off of the ball. The past four seasons she has been a constant for her North Linn Lynx’s team, producing at a high rate and being a main reason as to why her team has brought home a couple State Titles at the 1A level. Boge is a sleeper and a steal from this Class. She can hoop better than most out of her 2024 Class throughout Iowa and that’s easy to see. Whoever gets her, is truly getting a steal at this age level in a lot of aspects.”
“Jensen was a First Team All State player for her Remsen St. Mary’s High School team this past few months and that says it all. Jensen has size and skill to pair along with it. She has been a constant for her Remsen team the past few seasons, helping them win a lot of games and getting them to the State Tournament on more than one occasion. There are still a handful of productive prospects on the board out of the 2024 Class and Jensen is considered as one of the best because of what she brings to the hardwood. She is relentless in her pursuit for the basketball, while being an aggressive-type player. When she is put into the position to thrive, she does that 10 fold.”
Nebraska
“Stricklin is a quick PG with fast hands and a knack for being in the right place at the right time. She moves effortlessly with the ball, leading her offensive coming down the floor in both the half-court and full. Three-level scorer with the ability to create and distribute.”
“The pure size and athleticism of Marin Rasgorshek Marin Rasgorshek 6’1″ | C Crete | 2024 State NE screams collegiate athlete. Rasgorshek is a multi-sport athlete that excels in both Basketball and on the Volleyball court as well. She stands at 6’1 and she moves well with that size. The best way to describe her game is inevitable. Each contest, she is going to make an impact in one way or another because of her natural length. Not to mention that she works hard and doesn’t give up on a possession until the whistle blows from the refs. She brings maximum effort to the floor, every chance she gets and that is something that you have to respect.”
“One of the State’s premier scoring threats comes in the form of Guard, Adyson Mlnarik Adyson Mlnarik 5’8″ | PG Summerland | 2024 State NE . Mlnarik is a triple threat type prospect, that knows how to score the ball in plethora of ways. Don’t get me wrong, she was her teams offense for the most part the past 4 years but that doesn’t change the fact that she still has to go out there and make things happen each night. For the most part, she has done just that over the past four years and I’m excited to see where it leads to at the next level. Mlnarik is definitely a “sleeper” out of this State in more ways than one. Whoever scoops her up to compete next season, is getting a gamer if she chooses to go that route.”

Savannah Stokes
Savannah Stokes
“Savannah Stoker has been “her” for a few years now and that’s not going to change any time soon by the looks of it. Stoker is a Shooting Guard and a difference maker on and off of the ball. She understands her role on her team, while being offensively gifted with the ball in her hands. She is a multiple sport athlete, that makes her presence know in whatever she is putting her mind too. This season she averaged 22 points per game for her Lowry High School and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. As it pertains to “sleepers”, that are still uncommitted, Stoker is one of them.”
