Continue ReadingAnovia Sheals Anovia Sheals 5’11” | SF Mainland | 2024 State FL was almost unstoppable in the State Championship game as she got down hill and to the rim. Sheals was the most athletic player on the court. In addition to attacking the rim. Sheals was also dynamic in the transition game. She can handle the ball, she has great IQ , and has great anticipation on the floor. Sheals and company won the State championship last year and was runner up this season. Sheals was a key component in accomplishing this amazing feat.
Ni’ana Hill Ni’ana Hill 5’7″ | SF Palm Bay Magnet | 2024 State FL is another talented forward who has gotten overshadowed a little by her teammates over the years. Hill has played with Emma Risch, Kiara Williams Kiara Williams 6’1″ | PF Palm Bay Magnet | 2024 State FL , and now Jaida Ciivil. Hill has a nice skillset and can do multile things on a basketball court. She has a nice midrange game that she can shoot in transition or in a set offense. Hill can also handle the ball and rebounds well from the guard position.
Rhael Sayers Rhael Sayers SF Coral Springs | 2024 State FL was a standout at several Showcases I attended. She is a mixture of athleticism and skill. At the showcase, she got to the rim and also scored in the midrange. S ayers makes plays all over the court, but in the transition game she is special. She weaves through traffic with one thing in mind – getting to the the rim and scoring. Sayers does not mind scoring over a defender or through a defender. She has no problem playing through physical contact and gets buckets and consistently gets to the freethrow line. Defensively, she can play on the wing and is strong enough to mix it up in the middle against power forwards.
Kaitlynn Weaver Kaitlynn Weaver 6’0″ | SF Tocoi Creek | 2024 State FL was a sleeper forward this season, but made significant contributions to the success of Tocoi Creek. Weaver was the captain who held the young players grounded and accountable. Weaver has a versatile game and can score on the inside or on the wing. Weaver rebounds well and is a sneaky shot blocker.
Highlights
Calise Chisholm Calise Chisholm 5’11” | SF Deltona | 2024 State FL is one of the most athletic threes in the 2024 class. The Junior forward averaged 13.7 points per game and over 7 rebounds per game. Chisholm is versatile on the offensive end and the defensive end. She can play on the inside and challenge centers and power forwards in the middle. Chisholm was a standout at the Engine Power showcase in Daytona. She showed a lot of ability getting to the rim and scoring.
Aniyah Fisher Aniyah Fisher 5’9″ | SF St. Augustine HS | 2024 State FL is another talented forward who can do it all on the floor. She can get to the rim and can knock down the three with consistency. Fisher can handle the ball like a guard, especially when in transition. Fisher plays the passing lanes better than most prospects that I have seen. She has a high basketball IQ and uses it well on the defensive end of the court. Fisher can play positions 1 through 4 on both sides of the ball.
Auneria Doyle Auneria Doyle 5’10” | SF Hilliard | 2024 State FL is another sleeper forward in the 2024 class. Doyle is a smooth customer in the paint with good footwork and a knack for putting the ball in the basket. Doyle gets to the rim and can finish with the left or the right hand. Defensively, Doyle can defend on the wing and can also mix it up in the paint. She also rebounds well, especially on the offensive glass. This past season, Doyle also attempted 89 free throws. She knows how to play through contact and get to the freethrow line. Doyle does a great job of filling the lanes on the fast break and knows how to put the ball in the basket.
