Wrapping up this collection of breakdown articles for the Class of 2025, I want to turn focus to five ladies from the class’s watch list who could stand out this Spring & Summer. Year after year, the watch list serves as a reminder of how much small college talent there is in Indiana. Schools often find “sleepers” or good fits for their program in this area, and 2025 has a number of really nice players spread throughout the class.

– I mentioned Randee following the Shamrock Classic a couple of weeks ago, and I think she is a kid who has a chance to really take off this Spring & Summer, then again next Winter due to 2024 grads inside for the Pioneers. She is a strong and athletic frontcourt player who will battle inside. She can defend, whether it’s her own person or from help-side, and she is an active an aggressive rebounder. The biggest thing for her will be to prove she can do some things skillfully from the mid-post offensively.

– Ella made waves early in her career, when she attended a number of showcases and shot lights out. What she has done the last three years is work on her handle, her understanding of the game, and her defensive awareness. Oh, and she can still rip it from outside (55-128, 43% this year). This Spring, if she can continue to show that dangerous 3-point stroke but also add either the ability to attack the basket consistently, or become more of a playmaker, I think she could be a really nice small college shooter/scorer.

– In a class with a few really nice sizeable players, Sam will likely draw a nice amount of small college interest. She has tremendous length, she runs the floor North/South well, but she also has some skill facing the basket. She will need to get stronger for the next level, but I like how she tries to be physical and doesn’t shy away from contact. She can affect a game defensively by protecting the rim with her length, but she also does a solid job on ball screens and discouraging the drive with her length as well.
Kahlen Robinson, 2025, 5-6 PG, Thea Bowman Academy,
NWI Select
– Kahlen is one of the better defensive players in the state you might not know about. Her 5.5 steals per game were near the top in the state, regardless of class, but she can also pick up full-court and turn opposing ball-handlers. She is more of a slashing athlete offensively, and she can get to the basket with ease at times, but she also knocked down 42 3-pointers this season, and if she can just raise that percentage maybe 5%, she will be really difficult to defend. I also like her motor and willingness to do the “little” things.

Champions Black
– Delaney plays with a lot of motor and toughness, and she helps bring energy to her teammates. She is strong, physical, and she can do things to affect a game at all three levels. She’s probably a little undersized inside of the paint, but she will hustle down rebounds, she can score it in the mid-post, and she has shown more and more skill and comfort around the perimeter. As she continues showing what she can do around the perimeter, especially defensively, I think that will help her recruiting the most.
